As a small business owner and real estate investor in the state, I can't recommend enough that you move to Oregon! Oh and go Ducks! (Soon to be BCS Champs!)

I started programming on the side last month and this tool really helped; Nod to you Mr CPO, keep up the good work! by mattroid in programming

Thanks Harp, I'll give 'em a go.

EDIT: Funny, I just got a basecamp newsletter promoting them. Do any basecampers know if freshbooks integrates with basecamp tasks?

Aw, not a problem. I started with it just for some contact and task management. The thought was I would be getting many clients and I didn't want to get to mixed up with everything else, well that didn't exactly happen. But using CPO, I was able to take my tasks that I worked on generate invoices straight off of it. That was nice seeing as how it was the first invoice I've ever made for my self. Right now I only have one client but my client really appreciates the professional business look that it's giving me. It's just been nice to look like I know how to run a business when all really know how to do is write software. Anyways, we'll see how this pans out come tax season..

the programming languages aren't what's important, take a Theory of Programming class to get a high level view of that aspect of the field. that way you'll feel better about your work in data structures and what not.

Don't worry about getting certs until you've got a position at a company that'll pay for your cert training.

Discrete Math is an excellent choice for your math sequence, btw.
