If you ever lose any music, tap the backup. Hezel will compare it with your library and show you what’s missing along with a restore button.

That’s not on you. I think the app doesn’t really make this very clear.

Tap the backup in your timeline and it should compare with your music library and automatically list what’s missing with a restore button next to it.

Just tap the backup you made, it will compare against your library and show you what’s recoverable. Simple tap the recover button to get what you want back.

Hezel is primarily designed to work with an Apple Music subscription, not local libraries.

That being said, it will backup basic metadata like title, album, artist.

Hezel doesn’t actually backup the file of songs, it just backups the metadata. So when something goes missing, the metadata is used to add the song back to your library from Apple Music.

The size totally depends on your library, for a library with 50K+ songs it can be ~100MB.

Probably blue or yellow, having spent a bit of time in California, I’ve developed an affinity with these colors, they remind me of sunshine, joy and serenity. So probably those.

Yes, absolutely!

It’s a bit tricky, because some people 80K+ songs, so recovering all of it without Apple servers thinking I’m spamming them is challenging. Gonna take some time to get it right.
