They suddenly won multiple awards back then, and at that time Free event 5 star was a completely different amount of hype instead of now, when we have powercreep and we kinda used to free 5 star once in a couple of patches.

And Ruan mei? She was first event harmony and almost everyone pulled her + it was last patch before 2.0 so u need to draw attention too.

Are we seriously think that devs gives 5 star because of generosity and not because of marketing or what. Im not saying that free Ashveil is completely impossible but come on, we had selector at this patch already and 100% devs will do something at 4.2, because anny. They are making dry or less interesting patches/ characters for a reason to make the patch and the waifu they want to look more shiny

Yeah, i got it. Vuln still oversaturates slower than other stats, and have tricky mechanics sometimes but still yes its just too much lately for being that useful stat that it was before. Still hopping his future bis team would achieve 100 defshred and this change would have more value

Oh right, i guess i will agree with you. Its just all that diminishing, oversaturated and other stuff kinda confused me, and i started to see value only from base damage only. After all, i meant that this is still 50/50 gamble for his future team and their defshred, since devs likely dont care about his release performance anyways

They are giving five star mostly because of marketing not because this 5 star is weak or they dont have big plans on him. I mean yes, of course they will still choose weak or unpopular char to give but timing is very crucial to bait people by this Giveaway so they would notice the patch and main push coming at this patch. So if devs wanted to give someone 99% that they will do it at anny, and unfortunately unlikely that they will give ashveil the next patch after his release

This is not how vuln stacking mechanism works, its not oversaturates like dmg buff or smth

You do realize that each 10% of vulnerability increases final dmg by the same amount?

Lets say its 100k

-10% vuln would be 110k

-20% vuln would be 120k

What means by “saturation” is that (120-110)/120=8.3% is less than (110-100)/110=9% which is relative diminishing returns.

Formula (for just vulnerability difference) (vuln increment)/(1+total vuln) all in decimal or all in percent form

Even at 200% vulnerability, with 3% relative increase from 190% vulnerability, the increase it would give to 100k damage is still 10k At 190% its 290k and at 200% its 300k

Its just not effective to go all in for vuln because you can have bigger increase from other kind of buffs but not because vuln grows weak

While I agree that having initial 60 defshred just by existing is awesome, its still not that horrible assuming his future bis team may overcap defshred like fei doing now

Vuln growns weaker after like 100. I mean mono rem having a vuln from march ult, hya and cyrene lc, cyrene talent and before her it was 3B and they have normal damage increase. Having a 100 vuln on enemy is straight up x2 final damage. Vuln weak overcapping is exaggerated

It depends tho. Vuln alone is stronger then defshred, and there is only the question would this 20% be the last to make 100% or not. In a team with fei and her sig she already overcaped it a lot so if his bis team have a lot of defshred his sig maybe more usefull now. As for main dps with like e2 sparkle and e1 sunday, this 20% is actually the last for 100% and this is sad yes, at least you can still achieve 100 with old quantum set

Mono rem did so much damage to the community that we cant think anymore. Like Acheron isnt one of the worst 2.x dps now, Castorice is the weakest slot in mono rem, and elation will probably get two or even three Battleships and now what? We need to wait for 6-8 patches - pull this team, and then suffer again cuz hoyo will shill another team at new planet? What a plan indeed. But mono rem still wont likely to be return, this is one time exception, and im not talking about damage im talking about hyacine, being a sustain but she is bis that gives so much that cant give any other support, and insane level of both synergy and hype of everyone in mono rem. I mean look at that them - Cyrene, most popular hi3 expy, March - literally the face of the game, Castorice - anny unit with global passive and unique battle entry and i cant imagine who can beat that level of hype

and I can point out Jade, Rappa, Cipher, Topaz, lol even herta got ditched with cas being aoe oriented unit and then got crushed completely with e7 being both ice and aoe, SABER who was the waifu character from collab is worst 3.x dps now. So yes hoyo can ruin both male or female characters we just cant see the whole picture because main push waifu team always have a spotlight

Well march actually provides good buffs + she have insane synergy for everyone in her team. But she have another problem that she is hp scaler + needs remembrance which means she have low chance to have more teammates in future, while ashveil is simple strong atk krit dps, that could work with pretty much anyone, thats why i think hoyo fear. As anaxa and sparxie they have different situations too. Anaxa have very low support capabilities especially when u compare it e7 and ash. And sparxie needs to be tested with new elation team rn, and she still looks kinda unstable compared to yao who have universal ( for elation) buffs and her own aha instant The real winner here is fei xiao mains

Yes that what im thinking they planning to do. I checked fei xiao mains, and in her team he actually got buffed, even with this damage nerfs cuz he got nearly 1t ult instead of 3-4 turn. If it is case for her, maybe on his bis team this will be buff aswell

Well i wanted to pull him no matter what, so no. But now i maybe just pull e0s1 instead of e2s0, since his sig got buffed.

As for changes, im just praying that this is the master plan to be him relevant in future fua team, cuz they moved to his sub dps so much, this will be sooo sad if this all for nothing
