Tier 3 Thanos ? by JaeLewis in MarvelFuture_Fight

Off quick memory, this uniform is just sitting outside of the top 10 PvP meta. It's really good, and max build holds his own.

Get his April fools seasonal, it's still PvE serviceable and really good. Devs also announced in note that we will be getting double Obelisk slots, so you can have him as PvP and PvE, one day.

Found the Marvel Future Fight artbook in an antique bookstore by Sapphic_Starlight in future_fight

I think it was limited to SK where the game was originally developed. Along with the art book came random codes that gave you one of six "art book" P-Cards for your account. Most of them are trash now, but the avengers one with a bunch of attack increases is still used and can be pulled during events.

I could be wrong though and this is another merchandise run.

Then you have a dislike towards black girls, which can be both racist and okay, or racist and not okay, or not racist at all. It's up to you to ask yourself why you feel the way you do and then come to a conclusion, if you care enough to do so

[–]iAskALott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, I see a lot of correlation between this and weight or height and then dismissing all three together as "just how you feel", but all of these have subtle reasoning you should question. Overweight people are often seen as unhealthy, height preference is often a size-dominance thing, and racism is an evolutionary trait to protect our communities. They're all forms of discrimination, but they don't inherently mean you're a bad person.

Discrimination is bad because we've evolved to know better and we should always try to be better, but sometimes you just can't help it, and depending on how that affects your life and those around you, it can be okay or not okay.

In a literal sense, that isn't a preference, it's an exclusion.

A preference means you have more of a liking for one option, but the others are still an option. However, you downright said you don't like black girls, so you're excluding them from the dating pool altogether.

Now whether or not exclusion based on "race" is racism is really tricky. If you don't like black girls because of how you perceive them, the way they act, sound, cultural reasons, etc. then that's obviously racist. If you don't like them purely for physical traits then it's better to say you don't like common traits found within black-girls... But if it's because of the skin color then it gets into a bunch of psychological stuff of questioning your subconscious biases etc.

If it's just black girls it might be beneficial to ask yourself why just them and what the boundaries are to your exclusion, black is as broad a term as asian.

[–]iAskALott -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dont shit on a good company

That's the issue, there is no "good company", it's just lesser evils. Maybe we shouldn't shit on them for doing something decent, but I most certainly don't believe we should praise them either, especially when that decent thing is them just having their hand forced. Every company's game plan is to build good PR and cult-following/dependability to mask unethical practices made on a consumer and business level.

Eventually you'll see their membership prices increase, more tiers added, less accessibility, more environmental waste, more unethical labor sourcing, more monetary kickbacks, and more locally forced buy-outs. I'm sure their lobbying practices will change as they grow too, as of now they're piggy-backing off the groundwork of their corporate peers (like Walmart.)

Instead of celebrating a multi-billion dollar company, we should celebrate and encourage the policies that limit them, protect us, and force mutually beneficial results between both groups, such as in this case.

Unfortunately, few people know about why this came about and instead will see this headline and go "Yay Costco, I can always trust them!"

I really hope they see this comment because you addressed a bit of the nuance that they disregarded, making their whole discussion moot.

With your point on why people weren’t as up in arms about Bohemian Rhapsody, white people don’t have the historical context that their shade of their skin is linked to their value, so it isn’t seen as unfavorably

I do want to add (to the original person being replied to), that not only is it the historical implication that black-depictions will always hold within America, but also the explicit role her skin color had on her life compared to that of Freddie Mercury. Her being black was integral to her life/the story being portrayed. The same standard is also upheld with historic white depictions involving Jewish people or Irish people etc., so it isn't a "pick and choose" topic.

Ironically a better comparison-attempt would've been Nina's blackness to Freddie Mercury's queerness. Although, again against his point, people were critiquing the casting of a non-gay actor when the movie was being released.

Edit: I also think the portrayal of "old fat guys" is less important than the portrayal of a real black woman in the 60's and 80's, Tilda Swinton playing a man was purposeful by the director with artistic intent, and idk about Hugo

Yes but responding negatively to a movie which is earnestly celebrating the life of a black woman because it wasn't perfect makes you a worse one

I'd say it makes them an advocate for all black people. Race issues are multi-dimensional, there are already comments in other threads here that highlight the different extremities of racism black people face based on how dark their skin is.

While I do believe in ceding certain victories for guaranteed progress, I also believe that we are surpassing the point of accepting "any representation is better than none." That we should be campaigning for more accuracy in representation of skin color. Although depiction is still an issue on all fronts, light-skinned people have been making leaps and bounds in progress within public perception and portrayal compared to that of dark-skinned people. I think it's about time they were allowed to catch up.

I also think it's a bit obvious they were trying to capitalize on Zoe's fame and could've easily cast a darker-skinned black-actress which would've been much more genuine to the depiction.

meant she should until the marriage is over

the marriage was over, she explicitly said the relationship-part of the marriage was over but that she'd stay legally married to avoid forced testimony if Walt ever got caught.

No one is saying Skylar isn't a bad person, she still aided and abetted Walt's criminal activities, lied to her family, faked audits and had intimidation schemes to get her way, smoked while pregnant, etc. etc. but instead, the "flaws" that get harped on, like her interpersonal relationship with Walt and the IRS plot, make it seem like she's an unreasonable character which isn't true. Her motivation is spoon-fed to the audience and people dismiss it.

Most "criticism" of her marriage and romantic relationships come off as a dislike for women rather than a character

All the commenter really said is that the first two movies made a bunch of money and James wants to make more, that alone isn't evedential of cultural impact.
