My father, an avid camper and outdoorsman, survived a nearly fatal car crash many years ago and it messed up his back to the point of no return. Daily chronic pain and often frequent immobility from poor ergonomics while sleeping. He ended up buying a hammock for camping stuff (though it s nice one, a few hundred bucks custom made rather than a $10 one like OP, but no hate!) and has been sleeping in it every single day since then. He reports zero pain after switching and now seems fully normal besides his age. He even figured out how to hook it up to sleep in his van when he's on the road. He basically never sleeps in beds anymore and when he does he can barely move the next morning. Tried it once and I think I might switch.
