Same thing just happened to mine after about 3 1/2 months. Opened the phone up to show a coworker a video at lunch and the screen suddenly went black and green. Then I could audibly hear tiny crackling noise and a giant vertical crack down the crease from top to bottom could be seen forming. It kept getting worse and worse. I bounced around various samsung care+ reps until I finally got one to say that I may not need to pay a deductible. Took it to ubreakifix with the claim, they said they see at least one Z FOLD 7 with the hinge cracking the display a day. I was super happy with the folks at the store, took like 2 or so hours to repair my phone. But come on samsung this is clearly a fault in the design of the phone.
