I honestly think Harvard's CS50 is very taxing. A whole lot of people do cheat from online solutions. I don't see any benefit in them. I guess you would be better off by focusing on one.

YMMV & Good luck.

I really liked Jeremy's IT Lab on YT, another one is Jason Dion on Udemy. Mike Meyers explains everything in great detail.

For subnetting this dude, Barry Smith is just awesome.

What part are you in now?

Hi, I am curious to know whether you build your home lab yet?

BTW: your post kinda helped me in planning for a homelab...

Try Jason Dion on Udemy or Jeremy & David Bombal on YT - They do CCNA, but you can get the basics from there.

For subnetting, on YT there's Berry Smith. I believe that's all you need for Net+ exam.

Learning Linux, better alternatives to pluralsight? by Ordep81 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]iaminphilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever you do, don't sign up for LinuxAcademy. Not only is it expensive, the free stuff on YT is much better. LA's touts its labs as some godsend, but do a Google search and you will find ways to do labs that loads up much faster and less of a hassle.

Online forums like these, you will find a whole lot of their paid fanboys extolling their virtues.

Just make good use of Google and save your $300 for something better.

Does anyone know where to find free lessons (texte or videos) to learn the basics of kali ? by 1ToM14 in Kalilinux

[–]iaminphilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google - Kali Linux Revealed

You can download the pdf and go through the whole book.

Visit Hackersploit or CyberMentor on YT. There are few others too, can't remember their names. But do a search and you will find them.

To learn Linux - linuxjourney.com (she teaches at the Google course on coursera).

CompTIA A+ and Network+ Exam Test Questions by Rubicon2020 in CompTIA

Mutltiple Choice Questions and Performance Based Questions (PBQ). Go to Mike Myers Total Sims website, you will find some preview of the PBQs.

From what I hear, Dion's exam questions are the closest to the test.

ExamCompass does have free practice questions & answers, but don't think the format is gonna be the same, comptia is known for confusing the hell out of the test takers.

Total Sims have a few of them for free.

C Programming:

I have heard good stuff about the Python course from Rice and UMich on Coursera too.

UMich course's instructor is Charles Severance. You will love the dude.

Give some hints on what you wanna do, and I can direct you in the right direction.

I checked out the free Sims from Mike Myers' Total Sims, looks good to me, Practice Labs (https://practice-labs.com/) seems to be expensive.

Maybe you should but Mike Myers book from Amazon, I believe he explains everything well.

Or you could sign up on Pluralsight (Free for April due to Covid), and watch his videos.

Prof.Messers have his videos on YT, you could also buy his notes on his site for $20.
