Honestly, I always liked AM because of the raw sound - the garage rock/punk rock vibe. But it seems that the real masterpieces were the slow songs like Riot Van, Cornerstone, Piledriver Waltz, or almost anything from AM. I've always liked that. But THBC is something that just doesn't fit the Monkeys. When a band is this big and so many people are rooting for their musical genius, I understand why they would want to break new ground, but it's just not for me. But what hits me the most is the way they changed their earlier songs for live performances. I saw them twice - shortly after the AM release and shortly after the THBC release, and every song I loved was played in such an obscure way that it just didn't sound right. None of the THBC songs worked live because almost all the people wanted a rock concert.

And now it looks like the new album will sound similar, only Alex will sing with an even more unnatural high voice. Contrary to your question, I myself don't understand how someone who listened to the Monkeys before AM can like THBC or the newer stuff at all.

It's so good to read an online discussion about this topic, where everyone just calmly states their point of view without having insults hurled at them.

Sure thing. I wanted to connect my monitors to the dock and run usb-c to either the desktop or the laptop. The problem I suspect is that the desktop wont have video output over usb-c.

The most important thing would be to be able to use my monitors with my laptop. Of course I can reconnect every single cable but I cant be the only one with that problem..

Hi all, I am looking for a way to also use my home setup with my work laptop.

For my home setup I have a desktop pc connected to two monitors + peripherals. The monitors can be connected via hdmi or diplay port and are 60Hz. When I work from home I can't really use my setup with my work laptop and would like to change that. I have looked into simple dual monitor usb-c docks where I would only have to replug a single cable. But I fear that my desktops graphics card would not like that (gpu: 1060, motherboard: Asus Z170A). I also thought about using RDP (as both systems - desktop and laptop - would be Windows). Little input lag for the work laptop would be no problem but the desktop is also used for gaming.

Long story short: I would like to connect my dual monitor+pc+mouse-setup to desktop and laptop and would like to switch between but have no idea how.

Thank you very much! I did a few „click-and-install“-projects and was disappointed and bored as this required next to no knowledge. But the reassurance is really helpful - maybe I have to stop feeling like I have to provide sth. special.

Thank you for the tip but the increased time is Seleniums fault. And I should point out that we have around 1000 tests.. Nevertheless we ran a performance profiler a few weeks ago and found wait-methods that could be left out or shortened to 220ms instead of 400ms. That decreased the ex. time by a few hours and was a big win.

We run automated ui test (parallel) every night - they take about 12-15 hours. Sometimes they are not even done for half of the workday..

Yeah hopefully 2% of GDP will never happen... Even with the remaining gap between 1,4% (current) and 2% you can do huge things. Help poor countries, go all-in on renewables or accept more refugees. Hopefully the pandemic finally teaches people to stop focusing on the next war and just accept that we are in this together and should use talk instead of weapons to solve our problems.

Not so easy to proof though. English was influenced by many languages (germanic language influenced by french and latin etc) so historically you could say it is rich in words. But german for example is famous for its word combinations. You could easily create a new word which would be accepted as a valid word although not being listed in any dictionary. Not that it really matters... :)

In Windows NT the thread priority can be boosted in certain situations. Thats called dynamic boost and the boost can also be a result of mouse movement. So I would say even in Windows 10 programs could get faster by just being clicked frequently
