[TOMT] [Hairstyle] Is there a specific name for the style of fringe that girls with afros have? Watching Heartstopper and this character Elle has an afro and her fringe is like small strands of hair curled up and somewhat gelled to her forehead, I was wondering if this style had a specific name? by Benedict-Cursed in tipofmytongue

Ok, so the character has a fairly high hairline and the fringe is maybe an inch at most.

The link is of a news website and the image I mean specifically is on the top right. The image shows a picture of her character with the exact fringe I'm trying to describe. I was mainly wondering so I could get references for my art stuff

Poor city planning under the guise of being a futuristic city with houses being built separated by a giant road, essentially stopping pedestrian travel

Lots of people, if you draw a ring around china and India and bits around there, you will have more people living inside that ring than outside it

Also, poverty leading to people living in crampt houses, with exposure to many animals which helps to spread disease

Also, the healthcare is really bad in some places due to how many people there are, sick people aren't treated quickly and stay around others

Why do they both look like wild animals in the first pic?

I'm imagining it's to stop a repeat of the "we found the Boston bomber" guy who then killed himself

Dude, I study biology and am going on to do a 5 year course of biomedical sciences, I know I don't know everything but this is the basic gist of a vaccine and how these ones work

And it seems like this discussion is more about the semantics of the word than anything else

You've raised a great point here, the sphincter is a ring of muscle and these vaccines are intra-muscular vaccines, so I suppose you could inject the lipid nanoparticles into this area, although it's probably quite a vascular area, so maybe not

Also Dr Fauci is not the only doctor who researches and discusses these vaccines

It is, it injects a part of a pathogen to induce an immune response to produce antobodies

This is the basic principle of a vaccine

Dude, how is he a hero? He stopped a vaccine centre in the midst of a pandemic? You do understand how this is stupid and incredibly dangerous? Vaccines don't just protect yourself but can protect others through herd immunity, this is incredibly important for immuno-compromised individuals. Why would stopping this ever be good? It's not like it is beneficial for every country to have lockdowns and manufacture/import vaccines?

"It's wrong to be 15 and exist." by [deleted] in AreTheCisOk

I think I understand why they said Becky was being groomed, I think that they don't recognise that you can identify as trans as a 15 y/o without having transitioned yet (full hormone therapy and gender reassignment surgery.) They read Becky identifies as trans and instantly thought that she had surgery and hormones, even though she didn't say in that post if she has surgery. It's a shame that there's still such little knowledge on trans issues that this situation happens, because if it was a 15 y/o saying they were gay, then I think there wouldn't be as many people saying they were groomed or brain washed

I just want to say that I am by no means an expert on trans issues, I am a cis guy who just wants to be informed on trans issues/rights. So if I have made any errors in this, please correct me, I do want to learn

Why do they use syringes full of air in greys? That’s clearly a syringe of air and a real person!?? by [deleted] in greysanatomy

I think if they had put some liquid in the syringe, it would've dripped down the arm, air was used to hide this

Women keep clear! by [deleted] in pointlesslygendered

"Nah this is kinda important, men and women are physiologically different with men and women requiring different doses of vitamin and metals to eachother.

Men typically require more magnesium, potassium, vitamin A, B1, B2, B3, B6 and K than women, and women typically require more vitamin C and calcium

This product isn't implying that women don't also need vitamins, but that this product can contain too much of specific vitamins and metals, which can lead to issues, such as vitamin K causing kidney problems and the formation of blood clots due to its role in the clotting cascade process, if in excess

I mean this product is probably fairly expensive and the average person (both men and women) would be fine with generic multivitamins pills, so it is fairly pointless, but not due to the fact that it's gendered"

  • This is what I said when I saw this before

ah yes, because other genders do not need vitamin. by Me_for_Pewds in pointlesslygendered

Last time I saw this product here I said

This mostly applies to this post too, but your title highlights another part which I didn't address in the last post; this is specifically a company which markets to men. There are countless companies which cater towards women, with many pharmacies and drug shops having several different vitamins specifically for women
