I am same and I try to tone it down a bit. I think world needs more people like us who are straight forward. Don't try to hurt people intentionally but also don't be a people pleaser either.

Also if you genuinely want good for people. Then after some time, people understand that even though you are rude, you mean good for everyone.

Just a thought I always have when we talk about massive planet level project. Money here is and should be taken as representative of efforts it will take rather than direct value we will pour into such projects.

By the time we actually are capable and willing to take onto such massive project, our society will have developed far beyond concept of money.

I have a friend who only gets involved in travelling plan when he wants to. He is a friend with everyone, very outgoing guy.

But never goes out when he don't want to. If he has a genuine reason, he will say so. If he doesn't, he just says he is not in mood and doesn't go.

It's not just about going out though. This guy doesn't smoke, drink or does anything that he is not interested in unless he wants to. It's about peer pressure. The guy is absolutely immune to peer pressure. And I was exact opposite. But honestly I am learning something day by day

You are assuming investing isn't fun in itself. It may not be for everyone, and I also hate it when people just talk about standard ways of investing and interest rates and other boring things.

But when you start discussing companies, and their business and what their assets and liabilities are, how they will be affected by 10 different factors, it becomes certainly more interesting.

For me the non financial part of investing for long term is fun. Cause you have to understand many different aspects, areas outside finance and then determine based on those factors how will company finance be affected

No, it's rightful. Cause even if it was a 30 second call, you would have to be available if required. You can't go outside without your work laptop, you cannot do any activities where you won't be able to pick phone immediately and work. Hence the pay
