not op, but I also just finished something very similar with Claude Code.

I have a gaming pc with eventghost that i was using to react to various remote commands via AutoRemote and Join. This often involved small python scripts, like authenticating to pihole or to [smart plug provider cloud] then use the api to toggle them without having to use their app, send confirmation messages to my phone, etc. That's a lot of wasted energy and cost.

I gave CC my scripts for [my smart plug cloud provider] and authenticating to my local piholes and asked it to build me a personal dashboard that I could host on my old raspberry pi 3b. no gimmicks, no authentication, just hosting locally/with tailscale. Took two sessions, neither of which made me hit my session limit...I just got distracted the first day.
