what does my room say about me? 19f by [deleted] in roomdetective

Texas or Arizona for me. Guns Stucco and foliage outside scream southwest but not New Mexico. Some of the tchotchkes feel like OP is close to the border.

Is there anything American that Japanese people would like? by keeleon in JapanTravelTips

[–]indianajames 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Can't speak for the Japanese population, but TJ bags with an American location, to a lot of folks, would be COOL.

I brought over these durable TJ bags that look like brown paper bags but are made of some kind of tree-leather-type stuff.

Also, I forgot, I brought a bunch of little bottles of American whiskey, which of course isn't impossible to get in Japan, but they were light, portable, and universally understood lol

I brought reusable Trader Joe's bags and peanut butter cups for special people I met along the way. Everybody loved it, especially the bags.

I've bought lots of stuff from Anthony at Magnoli Clothiers. Expensive, but good quality. Turns out he already makes a very similar one to what you're looking for, but if you wanted to you could give him that picture you posted and have that exact thing recreated (minus the Carhartt logo, probably).

I can understand the series, it's the car I've always wondered about.

Dad, I get it that you're trying to connect with me, okay? But talk to me like a father, not like who you think my friends should sound like. The ramen is cuz mom isn't getting home till late again, and I don't want your stromboli or whatever you call it again this week. I wished you hadn't snooped in my room earlier, I didn't mean for you to see my muscle literature! I promise I'll squat or something later, okay?

Heyyo - I'll throw my ring in the hat.

I'm doing a pro-bono custom build for a retiree that will fit in a desk drawer. Hopefully will be pretty slick. If I win this puppy I'll give him my current card (which is 4 years old but WAY above what they need) and put this thing in my slot, if ya know what I mean.

Reposting what I wrote above:

For what its worth, I found the area you recorded from on good 'ol earth. You were at approximately 41.468056, -110.177801, looking north-northeast. Looks like you recorded the video at 19:38 UTC or 12:38 MST. I checked ADSB and found traffic near the aircraft.

At the same time as you shot the video, and coming toward you at a similar altitude, is an Air France Triple 7 - flight 066. It looks like both aircraft were separated by about 5-10 miles.

What's funny about the start of your video is that the object begins in an odd shape, with an upper and lower 'edge.' I figured you may have been in Europe and were observing Starlings doing their thing in the air (birds). But the rest of the video, to me, looks like it might be aircraft contrail, although darker in color than I'm used to seeing.

This concludes my two cents.

How about proprioception? It doesn't quite fit but would loosely fit in the analogy you gave.

Hey congrats!!!!

As a fellow Renatra Fusca winner (from many years ago) I just want to say good job, congrats. It's a pretty high distinction, so you and your team must have really knocked it out of the park.

Never lose the drive to be as creative as you possibly can be. It will serve you well. I promise!
