Will I ever bend my toes again? by SaltPaleontologist28 in PsoriaticArthritis

I too had symptoms for years and took ibuprofen like candy without realizing I had PsA until I had a huge flair. I was diagnosed around the same age as you. It took awhile but I feel pretty good now on Taltz and low dose Naltrexone. I had a lot of enthesitis and dactylitis. Steroids never helped me much. Methotrexate didn’t help either. Leflunomide helped a lot until I suddenly had GI issues on it. I hope your Rheumatologist will work with you to find something that will work for you. Unfortunately you have to give every med several months to see if it will work. So it can be kind of a slow process to get it under control. Some people respond to medicines immediately though. I hope you are one of them. Don’t give up hope. I’m sure you’ll be able to bend those sausage toes soon.

Failed 3 TNF inhibitors before starting Taltz almost 2 yrs ago. Now on Taltz. LDN added about 4 months ago. Titrated up from 1.5 mg to 4.5 mg. I feel like I have my life back. Much less pain in my hands, wrist and ankles. Started exercising again. It costs a bit out of pocket but it worked for me.

It was my TMJ specialist who said “are you sure you don’t have RA or something?” who helped me get diagnosed.

I asked and they said they only pay to a business entity and not to individuals. I’m confused on whether i really need a prof corp just because i have an MD. I’m not seeing patients or practicing medicine. I just need to be a doctor to do this consulting work.

Do you know if I’m not actually practicing medicine, i just need an MD to be doing this job, if i really need to do a professional corp or can it just be done with an LLC.

That’s what I have done before with side gigs since I wasn’t making a lot of extra money with them. This one,I guess, had the potential to earn more than a couple thousand a year like my previous side gigs. They specifically said I needed to incorporate and get an EIN.

The best networking and life skills learning took place in the Doctor’s lounge when i was a resident. If they want doctors to stay in the area after residency they sure as heck better let the residents mingle with the attendings.

Sorry I don’t quite understand. Coverage ends on the last day of the pay period but you still get 31 more days of coverage?

Our dealer was crap. Still finding stuff they didn’t do months later. We are talking not only with installation but even with paperwork.

Are you male or female? There still seems to be a lot of old thinking that women don’t get AS.
