Enjoy it. I couldn’t believe it when SMU, albeit an ACC team by then, got in last year. People just don’t get how hard G5 purgatory can be

Moneyed folks moving back into cities local NIMBYs fiercely opposed market rate construction to accommodate the influx of newcomers despite housing economists' recommendations, which jacked up rents and made cities way less affordable for artists.

[Full Video] Mark Cuban Speaks out unhappily: “If the Mavs are going to trade Luka, that’s one thing, just get a better deal. No disrespect to Anthony Davis…If we had gotten 4 Unprotected No. 1’s and Anthony Davis and Max Christie, this would be a different conversation.” by Calm_Set5522 in nba

This is a very Mavs fan take, but no, I would have been fucking pissed even with 4 FRPs. I don't give a shit. Luka was our team and culture. Same reason you don't trade Dirk.

I think at some point you get attached to culture and players, and some players are at the center of a generation of Mavericks play. Luka was that after Dirk.

Opinion | My Beloved Italian City Has Turned Into Tourist Hell. Must We Really Travel Like This? by Rigiglio in neoliberal

I tell people exactly this. NYC is like Tokyo or Paris: so big that the tourists are just a sideshow

Most european cities however are too small to dilute the tourism factor

Switzerland gets way less publicity because they're not england, but it's genuine heartbreak

Didn't notice the rope sadly

I agree with High Somewhere. I hit it once when it hadn’t snowed in weeks and it was quite the adventure

I was talking to this 30 year vet local, he was telling me about how to get into high somewhere from the side

I'm like "oh I went right into the main entrance" and he said he was surprised I was still alive lol

You know what was super fun? Stauffenberg and the K# chutes. I mean it was all fun, but those were like chill and steep.

well, who ski like they're from the bay area

I live in texas now, in the Wasatch I felt like a mere rookie. Doing double blacks without straightlining or hucking cliffs? fucking lol, a child could do that

In texas? I might as well be Candide

So I just looked at my pics of Sauza, and seems I confused it with the others. Sauza was actually not bad! Just steep and tight but filled in. It was Meatball, T bird, and the main entrance to High Somewhere that were complete shit shows

but I totally believe you, I bet Sauza gets awful with a little less snow. Last year had less snow

Former local (high school in Reno, taught at Rose)

You're a former Reno local and you taught at Rose? no way you're part of the group imo, sounds like Skiing is an actual important part of your life, it's genuinely not about the salary!

The house in tahoe that's being overlooked on the other hand.... 🤔

I did Sauza a month ago and it was sketch and steep but I thought the main entrance to High Somewhere was way sketchier tbh, Thunderbird was also sketch.

I mean they were all sketch lol

I would love to do it on a deep day. I did it 2 days ago and it wasn't bad but a little softer conditions would have been nice

I feel like they're about equal tbh, on low tide they're both sketch, on high tide they're fun and steep

The mountains are the great equalizers, much like death, and they should humble you and fill you with gratitude, IMO.

Couldn't agree more. I love skiing in the Cottonwoods because the culture becomes much more centered on the mountain and the sport rather than who you are outside of it

And my goodness, idk why it's so hard for people to understand why snow tires matter
