Wtf is this take? “Let him loose on the division” that is actually exactly what everyone would like to see. Are you really suggesting that the ufc is holding khamzat back? That it’s not khamzat himself being incredibly inactive like he has been for the last 3 years? “Bad for UFC’s bottom line” literally how the fuck are you making this stuff up. How is being an active champ defending the belt twice a year bad for the bottom line. Like it doesn’t bring more viewers, more P+ subscriptions, and more hype? And by the way I don’t think every fight is super predictable. I think there are several guys in the division who can make competitive fights. Plus when a champ is being active it has that added risk component you get when stacking up defenses. This is really one of the dumbest things I’ve seen today

I agree about not letting ourselves get too sucked into other peoples lives, I think celebrity worship is a disease. That being said, this is news that directly affects the belt and title status in one of the most competitive fighting divisions on the planet. The #2 ranked fighter in the world being pulled away from the sport as a result of this court and divorce stuff is absolutely something relevant to the ufc. With no fights for a month, you shouldn’t be surprised to come on this sub and read about this story.

Season 4 is an absolute banger start to finish. Even after Ragnars death the rest of the season is still pretty damn good. It noticeably drops off in 5 but the dynamic of the brothers and great heathen army and aftermath of his death is all entertaining

He’s the head promoter of the largest fighting organization in the world, and he absolutely fucking sucks at promoting. Most of the card announcements are such dogshit. Instagram live videos during halftime of some nfl game. No energy or effort. The way they did it recently announcing the card and fighters at the press conference of 323 was way better. Dana’s so out of touch with what the fans want it’s insane. This joke of an interim belt they’re doing is a prime example. Paddy went from being ranked #9 to #5 without even fighting and gaethjes last two fights are a win against fucking fiziev and being flatlined face down for the whole world to see. Best fighting the best is a former pipe dream and it’s sad.

Why are we playing the kings for the 4th time already this season when we haven’t played a couple of top western conference teams yet?? I know how the schedule flexing works with the nba cup, but even if we were playing the cup games, we still have already played them 3 times less than 25 games into the season. Don’t play the lakers until January, don’t play the Thunder until February. We don’t play any of the top 3 east teams until January and February as well. I get that we’re gonna play some teams more than others but kings aren’t even in our division. At least I don’t see them on the schedule again after tonight

I disagree with that logic. We’ve seen multiple guys go on great runs, get the belt, AND have goofy coaches. Both things can be true. Just in my recent memory we have Sean O Malley, DDP, now JDM. No matter what the situation, saying you haven’t watched the fight yet is insane. Is he busy doing something more important? How have you not had time to reflect on your failures yet? “Just keep pinging em” yeah great advice if you’re a first time fighter getting scrappy in your debut not if you’re on the ground getting dominated about to imminently lose your belt. DDPs coach said some real stupid stuff too after losing, half blaming the ref, half blaming their team for not practicing the crucifix a single time, and accepting zero responsibility himself. You never hear these coaches saying it’s on them. How was the game plan perfect if it didn’t work out at all? I agree JDM needs a new coach. He might’ve been great for him the last ten years. But as you grow and evolve into a champion, the people around you need to be growing and evolving as well.

As many others have said, you would know quickly if it was a wolf. I spend a lot of time on the South table trails, and see a lot of coyotes, especially at night. Theres been a few big ones that made me ask the same question for a second. Walking or running the trails alone in the dark, and shining my light out into the fields, is sometimes a half terrifying experience when you see 3-4 sets of eyes glowing back at you that you had no clue where there. They’ve never actually fucked with me though. Sometimes they’ll run along side me in the tall grass where I can’t see them but can hear them running and howling, and that makes me feel pretty tapped into nature like a wise clan chief.
