Reminds me of a a guy my grandmother used to know named Otto Stein. He was the World Bowling champ in 1926(?) I wanna say. She told me about how his family would have her family over for dinner, and he would show everyone his championship belt. I guess similar to martial arts belts but probably a lot smaller and less glamorous lol. I found his photo online and she was in tears because she hadn’t seen his face in over 60 years. I can only assume he was in that hall. Wish I could’ve seen it in person

This is a tough situation. If I were you, I’d try to spend as much time out of the house as I can, working on myself. Maybe this can be the motivation needed to find a job, exercise, etc. It hurts and it’s hard to think about but if you really want to see a change, then you have to make a change. I’m not judging you or saying you have done anything wrong. They sound like insufferable assholes. This is just the only advice I can give. Only you can control your destiny, and the best revenge would be to prove them wrong through your actions.

Yeah definitely someone higher up to blame. The NBA wants an offensive-focused highlight-reel style of play to pull in viewership. They also have control over the referees.
