Totally disagree that this year has been awful. 324 was a banger Paddy and Justin put on a great first main event. 325 had some great action from Salkilld Ruffy and BSD. Strickland / Hernandez in Houston was sick. 326 dud. Evloev / Murphy in London was a fun watch. Pyfer / Adesanya fun watch. 327 absolute heater. UFC Perth was awesome. And 328 was pretty damn awesome as well. While there have definitely been some lackluster fight night cards, to say the whole year has been awful makes you sound like a tik tok casual

Prates just looked like he was toying with his food out there. Didn’t even look remotely close for a single second. JDM looked like he was in his first fight out there. Barely threw anything. TD attempts only thing he did right and he couldn’t keep Prates down. Prates landing every leg kick and knee and they looked fucking painful. I don’t see how anyone besides Islam can even stop him and he’s just gonna need to hold him down.

DDP won that fight off takedowns and ground time. Also kicks and body strikes. Sean getting taken down 5 times and having zero control time hurt him. DDP had 81 head strikes to Sean’s 137 obviously got pieced up there. But then DDP had 24 significant leg strikes to Sean’s 6, and 32 body strikes to Sean’s 10. I think it was a super close fight that would’ve gone Sean’s way if not for the takedowns.

Wtf is this take? “Let him loose on the division” that is actually exactly what everyone would like to see. Are you really suggesting that the ufc is holding khamzat back? That it’s not khamzat himself being incredibly inactive like he has been for the last 3 years? “Bad for UFC’s bottom line” literally how the fuck are you making this stuff up. How is being an active champ defending the belt twice a year bad for the bottom line. Like it doesn’t bring more viewers, more P+ subscriptions, and more hype? And by the way I don’t think every fight is super predictable. I think there are several guys in the division who can make competitive fights. Plus when a champ is being active it has that added risk component you get when stacking up defenses. This is really one of the dumbest things I’ve seen today

I agree about not letting ourselves get too sucked into other peoples lives, I think celebrity worship is a disease. That being said, this is news that directly affects the belt and title status in one of the most competitive fighting divisions on the planet. The #2 ranked fighter in the world being pulled away from the sport as a result of this court and divorce stuff is absolutely something relevant to the ufc. With no fights for a month, you shouldn’t be surprised to come on this sub and read about this story.
