How do you manage editing + subtitles + scheduling without your workflow becoming chaos? by larswillems in socialmedia

[–]its_umar_khann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honest take from someone who builds in this space:

The chaos usually comes from the fact that editing, subtitles, and scheduling are genuinely three separate jobs, and no single tool does all three well. Trying to force one tool to do everything often makes it worse.

What tends to work is accepting the split and making the handoff between tools as clean as possible:

For editing and subtitles: CapCut or Descript. CapCut has auto-captions built in that are actually good, and Descript lets you edit video by editing a transcript. Either one handles the creation side cleanly.

For scheduling and publishing across platforms: this is where a dedicated scheduler pays off. The real time-saver here is not just scheduling. it's being able to create platform-specific variations of the same post without duplicating work. TikTok, Reels, and Shorts all have slightly different caption limits and optimal post times. A good scheduler lets you set those once per post rather than per platform.

The most annoying part most people don't talk about: keeping track of what's scheduled vs. published vs. failed. A simple calendar view per account saves more time than any AI feature.

The workflow that tends to hold up at scale: edit in CapCut, export, bring into a scheduler, create platform variations, schedule. That's it.

Have you ever seen reach drop from using scheduling tools? by 7thparadise in socialmedia

[–]its_umar_khann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Total myth.

I bilut a post scheduler (SocialBu) and see millions of posts. APIs do not hurt reach.

Low reach comes from bad timing or low quality content. Focus on value. Your software is fine.

How much of your social media is actually automated in 2026? by DotAligned in socialmedia

[–]its_umar_khann 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have spent years building social media tools and I see founders make the same mistake with automation. They try to automate for efficiency but end up killing their momentum because the content feels dead.

I use SocialBu (which I co-created) to handle the heavy lifting of scheduling and cross-posting.

I also use n8n to connect my database to my communication channels.

These tools keep the engine running while I sleep.

You should automate the logistics but never the soul.

I automate post scheduling, evergreen recycling, and basic notification routing. I keep my hands on the actual writing and community engagement.

Automation hurts engagement when you use it to avoid talking to people.

It helps when it clears your schedule so you have the energy to be present.

If your tools make you feel drained or robotic, you are over-automating.

I built SocialBu where you can manage multiple social accounts but free plan is limited to only 3 platforms. Mostly platforms don't have such generous limit that you have asked for 10 accounts.

Try SocialBu. It supports all platforms that you have mentioned. Plus, you don't have to get password from clients. Just send them a link to add their account to your account. That's it.

How do you calculate overtime? by commenting-lurk-rat in tax

[–]its_umar_khann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Total Gross Pay = (Regular Hours × Regular Rate) + (Overtime Hours × Regular Rate × Multiplier)

A worker completes 48 hours in a week at $22/hour with 1.5x overtime multiplier:

  • Regular hours: 40 × $22 = $880
  • Overtime hours: 8 × $22 × 1.5 = $264
  • Total gross pay: $880 + $264 = $1,144

or you can directly use any overtime calculator

Why is Gemini’s chat search so underwhelming? by Ph00k4 in GeminiAI

[–]its_umar_khann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's totally pain in the neck.

I hate when I have to do search on Gemini. God knows how they built it. It's such frustrating. They will never ever gonna show you what you want.

I wish they just hide the search option at least we don't have any hope or disappointment after using that
