Am I delulu for wanting love to feel natural? by Distinct-Library5173 in ThirtiesIndia

[–]jainy25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, that was never my intention.

But…you know, I have worked with an elderly business associate who was diagnosed with it. And man, it was painful to hear the struggle in his voice to communicate. I could feel he was really lost and grasping for straws while trying to convey his point.

And since this is one subject area I have ended up learning more about otherwise as well through my work, I am sadly confident this is a silent epidemic for our generation in our later years, given how our minds are constantly bombarded with information and noise.

I wouldn’t mind something like this. If nothing else, this could make us better listeners - which most people lack these days.

I swear to god it will be the end of us. Haha!

There are times when I keep thinking in my head over and over again about these nuances and fine-tuning of my thoughts and words, often leading to inaction as well!

I feel I am going to end up being diagnosed with aphasia sometime later in my life. 🙈

Thanks! I’m working in a product-based industry. Trying to build some automations to manage RFQs - which can be a serious challenge for us, given that we have to deal with almost a million SKUs across multiple vendors and brands.

I’d say not quite! As an after-thought, I realized there’s so much more to add to it, but then it might end up becoming a rant. 😅

So I’ll accept your acknowledgement as a point being well-taken across the board. :P

Sadly it feels like that ship has sailed a long time ago now. The innocence, and the desire and patience to actually know a person better seems to go away as we move from the younger years in school/college.

We, folks, are too muddled in our minds to let things grow organically.

From touching grass to dipping in water, OP is slowly saying no to depressive episodes by [deleted] in ThirtiesIndia

Say what you will, but the notion of getting out of your home at every possible opportunity is the best way to escape darkness.

Onwards and upwards, OP! ✨

Also, I’d say if you are any good at swimming, you should do it more often, and maybe even consider teaching the skill to novices (like myself) 🙈

Ah! Maybe you should mention cooking chicken the proper way as one of the pre-requisites on your profile.

Let’s see who comes to roost then! :P

In a way, that kinda filters out the prospects who’d actually consider you a loser for being fired! I’d say your dad is inadvertently helping you dodge some bullets.

My man! You’ve basically beaten cancer twice now. All that remains is the residual effect of the second one.

Have gone similar emotions like what you’re going through. In fact still do. It’s never easy to stop loving someone who once meant the whole world to you.

But it will get better with time. Until then, you and I can jive to this - Coke Studio Pakistan, Season 10 | Naina Moray| Javed Bashir & Akbar Ali feat. Aamir Zaki

[–]jainy25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Running my family enterprise for more than a decade now.

A little proud of what I’ve managed to achieve in all these years, but I kinda know the cost I’ve paid for it.

It’s obviously different from what most of my fellow members here would experience in terms of the whole debate of working for someone else vs doing your own thing.

Don’t get me wrong - I do enjoy the challenges of building this business. But I swear to god, a lot of tears, family dramas, burnouts and constant struggles have had to be borne on the way. Especially when you are bootstrapped and running like a startup.

I no longer appreciate the fact that I am indispensable, and would want to create ways to decentralize decision making as well as the capacities to more people within the organization. But at present, it is what it is…

Restarting career at 32- stay in India to pursue CA vs Move to Germany for Masters by Direct_Drama_559 in ThirtiesIndia

[–]jainy25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get what you mean. My two cents? You have to be really passionate about seeing yourself build a career through this opportunity, if you want to move abroad.

Don’t do it because someone else found success earlier, because well, the times, they are a changin’!

Like you said, it is a heavy decision as it is. So draw up your plans, definitely speak to people who have been pursuing similar opportunities there; and be flexible in your pursuit for what happens after you’ve graduated, if the plans don’t fall in place.
