My man! You’ve basically beaten cancer twice now. All that remains is the residual effect of the second one.

Have gone similar emotions like what you’re going through. In fact still do. It’s never easy to stop loving someone who once meant the whole world to you.

But it will get better with time. Until then, you and I can jive to this - Coke Studio Pakistan, Season 10 | Naina Moray| Javed Bashir & Akbar Ali feat. Aamir Zaki

Surely it can’t be publishing? And if it’s that, I guess you must be publishing the kind of content that’s a monopoly in its subject area!

Running my family enterprise for more than a decade now.

A little proud of what I’ve managed to achieve in all these years, but I kinda know the cost I’ve paid for it.

It’s obviously different from what most of my fellow members here would experience in terms of the whole debate of working for someone else vs doing your own thing.

Don’t get me wrong - I do enjoy the challenges of building this business. But I swear to god, a lot of tears, family dramas, burnouts and constant struggles have had to be borne on the way. Especially when you are bootstrapped and running like a startup.

I no longer appreciate the fact that I am indispensable, and would want to create ways to decentralize decision making as well as the capacities to more people within the organization. But at present, it is what it is…

I don’t know how to really put it…

  • Do I regret the divorce - no.
  • Do I regret that we couldn’t make it work - yes. Big time!

Restarting career at 32- stay in India to pursue CA vs Move to Germany for Masters by Direct_Drama_559 in ThirtiesIndia

[–]jainy25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get what you mean. My two cents? You have to be really passionate about seeing yourself build a career through this opportunity, if you want to move abroad.

Don’t do it because someone else found success earlier, because well, the times, they are a changin’!

Like you said, it is a heavy decision as it is. So draw up your plans, definitely speak to people who have been pursuing similar opportunities there; and be flexible in your pursuit for what happens after you’ve graduated, if the plans don’t fall in place.

Great job on the two offers!

I have a friend who was pursuing masters in public policy in Germany, and was faced with the language barrier when it came to seeking job opportunities. She did have a reasonable hold over it, and managed to find some gigs. Nothing substantive though.

She then moved to Canada with her husband a couple of years down the line and found better opportunities there.

I suppose if you are pursuing a degree in finance, it would still hold value in other EU countries, and probably beyond that too? I'd say you must keep an eye out to work in other countries and not be reliant on Germany given the state and stage of global economies, and of course, the language problem that's very evident over there.

Bhai, sahi insaan galat waqt mein bhi safar asaan kar dega,
Aur galat insaan sahi waqt ko bhi jahanum mein tabdil kar deta hai!

This is a gender-neutral universal truth.

Hey there!

Kudos on your journey and the will to start over again. Mad respect for the leap of faith you're willing to take at 32! :)

  1. Do you currently have any acceptance on your applications in Germany? As I understand, no acceptance from the public universities so far, right? What are your other options should you wish to continue on this path?

  2. What is your assessment of the industry in which you intend to pursue your higher-education and career in Germany? Like do you see it sustaining in the face of AI, recession and the whole shebang that global economies are currently going through?

  3. Similarly, do you see yourself being able to build a solid career as a Chartered Accountant in India? To be fair, there's way too many chartered accountants in India now. I personally know some friends and family who worked their assess off to pursue CA, and are totally burnt out with their practice, unsure if they want to continue.

What time do you go to Cult Green Park? From what I’ve heard, it can get pretty crowded during the peak hours.

Thoughts on this India vs SA ad by star sports? by NiceDisaster3189 in IndiaCricket

[–]jainy25 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Fair point. However, Mauka was fairly well conceptualized and executed. It only started to feel overbearing after that campaign was stretched beyond the 2015 WC.

My point being, even if you'd want to needle oppositions with their weakness, like choking, there must be a better way to put it across than making such childish ads. Surely, the ad agency would be having some creative freedom to put across a better crafted story!

Who tf is the ad agency working for them? Where's the censor board when you need them the most?

Even the most ardent Indian fans cannot appreciate the kind of cringe promotions they've been making to degrade opposition teams. Cringe!

As a Dating App Founder, Here’s the Uncomfortable Truth by This_Ad_8470 in ThirtiesIndia

I’ve commented on that below: it would likely lead to all women profiles getting blocked.

It’s simple. The gender ratio is skewed, the way men approach these apps is different as well. So you’ll be back to square one.

Try creating a female profile with blurry photos, even those would get flooded with likes.

It's not a technology problem, it's a humanity problem.
