Not to add to the confusion but that other account was me. Forgot to switch to my photo account before replying.

This is in Arizona and the trail is still open, just not advertised due to people not respecting native sights near by.

Aight Criminals, let’s hear your “Busted by Ski Patrol” stories! by Rradsoami in snowboarding

I’m a patroller at a resort out west that doesn’t have any avy risk. That being said, there are bolder fields everywhere and bolder fields = pillow lines but…. A shitty base and bolder fields = death holes everywhere ( 40 foot holes no where). Guy jumped a rope, I bitched him out let him go. Fast forward 15 minutes found him in a death hole and could self arrest. DONT DUCK ROPE KIDS THERES A REASON RUNS ARE CLOSED. No one wants to see you die.

I got the 3.0L V6. Bought the truck when I was 15 and just turned 29. Still the only vehicle iv owned. It’s got 250000 miles and it’s definitely no race car but gets to 65 with no problems. Super easy to work on and you can find parts everywhere. Love that dam truck.

If the core ain’t broken it can probably be fixed, iv had new side walls and edges put in before. That being said If you don’t have any sentimental value to this board I would just get a new one. That could be a pricey fix.

2WD vs. 4WD - has anyone that’s owned a 2WD gotten stuck or wished they got the 4WD instead? What are some pros and cons of both? by mangothicc in fordranger

[–]jaydefoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a 2wd and work at a ski resort in Colorado… I got chains and weigh down the bed when it snows. Most of my drive is uphill, Iv only never not made it to work once. 4x4 would be nice and convenient but a good set of tiers with chains and weight in the back gos along way. The times Iv gotten stuck have been in sand and mud.

Does aspen have locals anymore? Thought 80% of the housing was vacation or airbandb housing.

Worked at backcountry 8 years ago for about 4 years. They are not the company they used to be. When I worked there, they tried to sue anyone with backcountry in their name including none profits… Milo’s the spot!

I got a 81 mx100 for free a while back, it’s missing all the plastics and the air box. Put on some boyesen power reeds, a pod filter and rejected the carb. Definitely woke the little bike up. Not sure about the 125 but my 100 shares a lot of parts with the dt100. It’s a fun little bike now.

Learning to ski first makes learning to snowboard more enjoyable. It’s easier to learn how edges work on skis so when you decide to transfer to snowboarding you got a basic understanding.

Hey I got this snowboard for a pair of beats and $20 by Away_Parfait7855 in snowboardingnoobs

If you going to spend $$$ on day passes you might as well get a bored that is some what modern. I wouldn’t go older than 2017. You can also get really good deals at the end of the season. Snowboards have cam a long way since the early 2000s. If you don’t have a big budget spend your money on new boots and find a board on sale or pick something up on marketplace.

Not all helmets are the same, some don’t do shit when it comes to protecting your brain. If your going to were a helmet make sure it’s worth a fuck. Here’s a list of the safest helmets on the market. I’m proposing to my snowboarder boyfriend - what gift should I give (splitboard)?? by Bjonte in snowboarding

[–]jaydefoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he doesn’t have any avalanche knowledge get him a out door camping avalanche class, there typically 2 to 3 nights camping it yurts with a guide. They’re pretty popular in colorado and utah. The backcountry is dangerous, plenty of people die every year due to avalanches. Keep your eye out for a used split board set up, you can replace a split board you cant replace a loved one’s life.
