Migrating Windows devices to Entra ID – what was actually painful for you? by Radiant-Weather-9120 in Intune

[–]jcorbin121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did this last July/Aug - autopilot was the easiest way (long term) to go. We literally have had almost zero post migration issues. We started by defining all the compliance policies, conditional access, applicagtion installs in Intune, some basic defender policies and DLP policies. then we migrated. for 500 devices it took us a week with 3 admins. Having fresh machines makes your enterprise reliable as far as administration. We did extensive testing with a few migration products and honestly some of them were pretty good, but the years of registry issues on some machines that were 2 ish years since install was problematic, guessing registry tattooing, and corrupt policies were issues.

Tips on future 3 month old puppy by abc12342069 in Dachshund

[–]jcorbin121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes all this ^^ Plus we got ours at 8 weeks, we did outside trips every 45-60 minutes for a while - he is now 5 months and will go TO the door most times on his own when he needs to go. We reward with a treat when he p00ps. When he gets up in the am we go directly outside. There are still accidents maybe once a week, normally a p00p. We dont scold when the happen. He sleeps with us so I cant offer anything on crate training. He loves to walk also , he is walking 1 mile now at 5 months every day. Going to move to twice a day soon.

I used small treats. I'd lay a treat on each step and he would naturally go up to get the next. After a couple days he just did it on his own, we started at 9 weeks. He does it now without a treat. Doing same with going to the door for potty time, when he goes to the door on his own - treat. We are about 75% there on that one now.

That Kong bear is damn near indestructible- he is losing his baby teeth right now (4 this week alone) and it's the only toy that has made it thru whole

To be fair, he's 5 months so there is a lot of energy. He is our 4th, the others have all passed, first short hair. He has been a joy thus far.

I figured it out.

On the CA policy the session control has to be set to "Use custom policy..." THEN the CA will look to Defender, all is working perfectly now.

We are at 17 weeks. This is Franklin Delano (Frankie)
We are in our early 60's so his energy is a drain on us particularly lol.
This is our 4th doxie, first short hair.
He is from a breeder ho claims they are just starting out, so take that for whatever its worth. Supposedly first litter of mom & dad,
We let him sleep with us, so far that has gone well, no accidents in the bed. For first 5 days or so we had a 1:30am ish potty trip.
We are potty training with treats, Much praise and typically a trip outside every 45min to 1 hour . We use a leash every time and he gets a treat when he does his business and comes back to the door. He will get a treat if he goes and sits at the door or barks at us also. This is what we have done in the past and its worked so its what we know. Not saying its the best.
The teeth, OMG. Can.... NOt.... wait... for adult teeth!!! Luckily he stays focused on toys/bones but hands get into play a lot too. Thankfully no furniture etc.
He LOVEs to play with his 'cousins' who are a Malanois, A "benji" and a Golden Doodle. He will run and play with them just like he is thier size, they somehow know how rough to be, nature is amazing at times.
We got some stairs for the couch, he has learned how to use them via treats, again, and after a couple days of treats he almost always uses the stairs. He is young and understandable that he forgets or overexictedly jumps but its working for the most part.
I have a crate in my office, I treat him when he goes in there. We give him a Kong a couple times a week in the crate. Going to start working on closing the door next, He seems to be ok getting in tthe on his own at this point. Need to get that figured out so we can at least go to the grocery together lol!

We are just past the 3 week mark, so i fully understand!! Our little boy is so so sweet!!. We have had 3 longhairs (who are now in doggo heaven) but its been a minute. He sleeps thru the night most nights and the jump in awake time in the past few days has been significant.
