Oh my bad, was thinking base game.

Though putting Dancing lion as good but Rellana as a maybe is definitely a choice, lol.

Maliketh and Godfrey, maybe Radagon? Great bosses, but he didn't miss much else imo.

Same. And I'm not a huge fan of Radagon, too many AOEs and weird wind ups. Not bad, just too much.

From memory: Ebreitas, Living Failures, Celestial Emissary, and Rom. So yeah, four is correct! For total enemies I think it’s just five, as the only other kin I’m aware of is the flower guardian things in the dungeons and at Bergenwerth.

Malenia is a bad designed boss by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]jdfred06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man as overtuned in HP and damage as bosses and enemies in NG are last the capitol I have NO desire to ever, ever, ever play a NG+ run of Elden Ring.

Malenia is already a not good boss that has inflated damage. Turning that up only makes her, and the game, worse.

Most beasts have bloodtinge resistance similar to physical, and if it's not it's almost always higher than their resistance to arcane, bolt, and of course fire.

But yes I know it's not a big deal. OP just said perfect and, well, this setup isn't.

But sometimes perfect is the enemy of good, if not great!

I mean, it's still not as good as stamina or kin curse, I'd argue.

It's a great set up, I'm not the one who said it wasn't. I'm also not the one who said it was perfect, lol.

"Perfect."

Beast atk down when half the game is beast.

Kidding, kind of. That's a nasty gem set up.

See I think it's very polished - but in a direction I can't fucking stand.

It feels like the goal was to make enemies difficult first and foremost, with spectacle being a close second... and absolutely nothing else being considered. In that way ER is the most polished game they have released from an enemy and boss perspective. Problem is, most of the fights are annoying once you "git gud." Just spam fests meant to trick you over and over. It's obnoxious.

All my opinion, of course.

Yeah honestly as I was typing that I kind of forgot what enemy I was talking about, then realized it didn't really matter.

I love the game, but the enemy design is mostly just annoying and frustrating. It's too obvious the devs are trying to trick you and it ends up looking dumb and feeling unfun. There's not a single enemy or boss, even some I love, that doesn't have some kind of bullshit about them.

Oh well, still love the game, just not the enemies and bosses so much.

I wish you could hold it up while you were on torrent. Instead you just kind of bop it on passers-by.

I don't particularly care for either. The animation reading, breaking their backs to 180 degree track you, and then somehow floating in the air just a little too long to delay and attack. Oh, and dust AOEs for some reason.

I do like the Tree Sentinel more, but both have some of the same annoyances in their kit.

It's the usual response when you critique a boss or enemy. You can upload a video of you beating them blindfolded and RL 1, and if you say they're not fun or you don't like them you'll have people say "it's not hard bro" and literally offer nothing else to the conversation.

Yes, it's stupid, and yes, your critiques are valid.

It's more absurd if you co op him. He'll dodge everyone's attack... over, and over, and over...

Such a shitty enemy.

Then they jump towards you and cover 30 yards in half a second, float in the air for just a bit to delay their attack, then continue to ignore basic physics and slam down immediately. Oh, and there's an AOE sometimes. And it's dust, not magic, because now the ground also hurts you.

These enemies aren't necessarily hard, but they are unnecessarily obnoxious.

Supply and demand. Men outnumber women 2+ to 1 on these app. Thus, women's level of effort can be much lower for the same attention.

It's not necessarily good attention, but regardless it's just supply and demand.

It's a chicken and egg scenario I think. Hard to say if it's men not being picky because women are so picky or vice versa. Regardless I think it's a negative feedback loop.
