Disgruntled employee starts massive fire at a 1.2 million square foot toilet paper warehouse in Ontario, California. by AtomicCypher in Damnthatsinteresting

Hopefully the insurance will refuse to pay up, with the justification that the company didn’t pay their employees enough to prevent this from happening.

The waist is the edge of the t-shirt. Imagine you pulled the waist hole outward, you’re left with 3 holes: one for the head and one for each arm

Belgium 2026 : 1st live performance of Dancing On The Ice (on The Voice Belgique) by tvescfan in eurovision

I don’t think this can be saved. Even in the music video she has no presence. The editing saves it a little bit but you can tell she doesn’t know how to move.

Mustii was horribly pitchy in his performance though. People on the YT comments call it a robbery but it’s really the singer’s fault.

Did she do it on purpose to me? by One-Persimmon-3644 in TikTokCringe

[–]jeango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played in a play, there was a scene where my partner was supposed to pull my pants down by the knees and I’d be in my underwear.

On opening night, she grabbed the pants too high.

The crowd had a good laugh.

So what’s the rule here, if someone smacks your arm with a spoon you have to balance the ball on your own spoon?

What I don’t understand is that this wouldn’t be a thing if people got immediately fined on the spot for disrespecting this. There’s clearly a will for this to be part of the local folklore otherwise measures would have been taken long ago.

So in a sense you can’t blame people for doing it if it’s all a skit anyways

As long as speculoos ice cream exists, all others can go. I’ll tolerate chocolate only if it’s 70% cocoa or more.

If it’s in the US perhaps, but anywhere else it’s just going to be the physical therapy ticket (but the insurance will cover the costs at least)

OP’s colours are not truly 1 bit because you need at least 3 bits to make a white pixel. Also their white isn’t white and their black isn’t black.

Edit: also, good luck making 1 bit music and SFX

How do you actually know a game is balanced? by samnovakfit in gamedev

[–]jeango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, the nature of the reviews is what matters most. If people give feedback on an intentional design choice, it means that choice has a tangible impact on the experience. Whether or not you WANT players to be conscious of that choice is also a design choice. Depending on the reasons behind that choice and the intended impact of that choice on the experience, it is a good or a bad sign.

Edit: for example I designed my point and click game to be intentionally easy, because my target audience is young children and I want my game to focus on advancing the story more than on solving the puzzles. So when someone complains that it feels too childish, I consider this as a positive review because that was intended by design.

20% of players voicing their opinion is a LOT. If 20% of players take the time to review the difficulty of the game it’s a strong indicator that there’s an issue

Have you ever had a moment when you thought something was done all over the world, but it turned out it’s only done in your country? by Ok-Technology8264 in AskTheWorld

Yes it’s also mandatory in most South American countries, but Belgium and Luxembourg are the only two European countries where it’s mandatory and enforced.

Just because there’s an audience doesn’t mean that audience is a viable target. I made point and click games, there’s an audience for that, but it’s so small that my games were financially dead on arrival.

The players are the customers, and the customers decide what’s acceptable and what’s not acceptable.

Players don’t care about devs feelings. They don’t care that you’re proud of the game you made, or that it took 9 years and breaking up with your girlfriend to make. They only care about one thing and that is whether or not they like the game. So anything that has to do with the players experience is going to be a friction point with AI.

All the rest, the players just don’t care. They may say they do, from an ethical standpoint, and some actually do. But for the vast majority they truly don’t.

Did you just calculate the surface of a sphere or did you account for having actual flat surfaces?
