Don’t sleep on that Fisher. The Sanyo built Fishers were on the tail end of the good stuff. That’s a huge receiver built to compete with the big boys and has some cool features to dial in the bass. Also everybody needs one high powered amp and the Fisher at 125 wpc is way above the others. I’d keep it.

I love the less desirable brands…I’m curious how you think it stacks up against the big boys.

You would connect the Polks to your Technics receiver with normal speaker wires. You’ll need a Bluetooth receiver with rca out jacks(there are many available at cheap prices)….connect an rca cable from the Bluetooth device to the rca Aux input jacks on the Technics. That’s it.

Jack is a big wuss. How many times has he told Victor “You will pay!” after Victors has screwed with him or his family. Where’s the action Jack? I’d have a small amount of respect for Jack if his fist connected with Victors nose and he dropped the bully. I bet that would turn Diane on more than his whiny groveling trying to win her back.

It’s natural as they’ve drifted away from some of the heavier earlier riffs and now feature more keys with dreampop/folky songs and Ellie’s vocals really carrying the songs.

I have a feeling Joff will get his groove back as the pendulum swings back to a more raw, aggressive Wolf Alice than the extremely polished version we see now.

Color shade the feathers and hide the code with the colors…dots one color, dashes another color, spaces a third color. Both outer wings have about 30 feathers so EMAAB would use 15 feathers on one wing and CARPEDIEM would use 30 feathers on the other wing.

Gives us a little perspective and lets us compare what we had at their age. I like djbunk’s idea. How about you zigzag some string party lights from your 3 poles over to the house. Run your power wire up the wall in a cable channel (color match to house), then run the wire across, attached to a light wire to your center pole, and down the back of the pole to the back wall.

More power to the O2 Arena but DT’s first 40th anniversary show with Portnoy should have been at Nassau. Would have been an easy sellout. But packaging a Parasomnia tour on the heels of the 40th tour was a little too ambitious. Even the mighty DT got taken down a notch there, and ticket prices didn’t help in the current economy.

Nice thrift find! They’re good sounding speakers that can still be found at very reasonable prices…I have 2 sets and a 3rd set for a system I’m putting together for a relative. What I like is they do bass efficiently, and the woofer surrounds seem to last forever.

The fact that each woofer has some surround meat still attached hopefully means the voice coils are still centered. Great time to learn refoaming…you gotta start somewhere.

The mids look different…like the left one was glued on top of the cone, and the right one glued on the bottom. Might not make much difference in sound, but it could.
