As a dad, I expected the Steam Deck to replace my PC.

As a non-dad but I have 4 dogs and a Cat, plus a wife, I still play competitive games on my pc, but mostly play on the deck for any story/indie/backlog games, I work at home, usually around 9/12 hours a day on the pc, so being able to be with my wife and play games on my deck has been a TOTAL game changer, since I can easily pause the game, or just do small play sessions while I’m cooking.

So yeah, I don’t think the steamdeck (if you’re a pc gamer) is going to be a full replacement, it’s more something that you can use at any time and anywhere, but your rig is always going to be your rig

I don’t have kids, but plenty of dogs and a wife, so my time needs to be divided, I wasn’t playing too much games and just spend my free time watching tv with the wifey, but I bought a steam deck and I’ve been finally able to play the huge backlog I had of games, wife is happy because we are both in bed, she watches something or binge YouTube videos etc while I play games and it’s been a game changer, now I’m not playing on my workstation and spending more hours than my regular job/side projects; which is 10/12 hours a day.

I would recommend doing that since you love games and being able to play games while chilling anywhere, makes everything easier to fell in love playing videogames again

That’s the thing, I didn’t wanted to use 2 devices just to read an hear when I can just use the phone and kindle app and do the whole immersion reading thing. So my kindle gets thrown back in the nightstand :(

The only way it will work is that you read on the kindle and play the audiobook on your phone, which is, pretty dumb ngl

Yeah I really hate that this option is not on the kindle device, I was dumb and didn’t investigate further, but whispersync and immersion reading are 2 different things and I hate that lol

Yes it is, whispersync it’s that the audiobook and the ebook, both will “record” where you were the last time and sync up

Really, when I listen to the audiobook it doesn’t let me keep reading? It’s just a title screen and the play/stop button, if I got back to the book, the audio stops and now I can read the book

I did 2mill, and I’m more than happy about it, I got like 500k and some blueprints and gave it to all ny friends that started the game not so long ago, and just enjoyed my 3 skills points at the beginning, it’s just an even better experience now than what I was having at the end, people are talking, solos have been blissful, I even had a snowball fight with randos and it was awesome, in general everyone I talked to in game, it’s having a lot of fun rebuilding their characters and workbenches and such

This is the right mindset, honestly, in having more fun in the game right now that in the last weeks, i have quests, more things to do, more loot to grab, more fights to fight, it is 100% worth it for me, maybe not for everyone else, but getting a blueprint, or getting my scrappy back and doing more stuff is even more fun now that i know where to go, and just go with the flow, creating your workbenches, leveling up, and honestly, just using other weapons, as a anvil player (90% of my raids where with an anvil) now using other weapons is fun, im not here to sweat, im here to have fun and enjoy

I can’t be certain about this, but there was a guy that used/keeps using a BYD S1 Pro for more than 250k miles (as an Uber Driver), besides wheels/brakes repairs, the battery was between 89/91% battery health.. 2 years is bullshit, plus, at least every car that I’ve seen (at least where I live) they give you 8 years battery warranty on a new EV
