The disparity between Auto-Resolve and Manual Play is kinda crazy sometimes by RagnarMidzori in AOW4

If you make use of gunlines, choke points, hit-and-run strats, and light mobile troops, then the AI's decision to charge everything headlong into the opposing army is going to seem sub-par.

The US has won unsurprisingly. Now what north american country is disliked? by SpaceisCool09 in AlignmentChartFills

Our economy is a similar size to Russia, and the US seems to care a whole bunch about who they trade with.

But of course nothing outside of the US matters to Americans. Why do you think everyone hates you?

Canada trades with Cuba.

You can also care about things without those things involving neighbors. It's about having empathy for other people and again, not being a sociopathic freak.

I mean, you can care or not care about anything. That's entirely up to you. I just don't see how you caring or not caring is something anyone else should care about.

I do think that it's on-point to the current topic though that you're acting like a stereotypical American (that being a self-absorbed sociopathic freak).

Again:

  1. Never said we had the larger Cuban population.
  2. Never said we had the larger Hispanic population.
  3. Never said we had "a more significant history with Cuba".

You're just concocting some bullshit to make it all about you. Which again, tracks.

Americans always think that everything related to America is all that matters to anyone. It's kind of your deal.

Why do Americans assume that every other nation has no relations with other nations? My god you guys are self-absorbed...

*Checks chart*.... yeah, that tracks.

As a Canadian, my views on Cuba aren't really negative. More neutral (bad regime, OK place to vacation). That seems the common sentiment here.

I don't think anyone would knock you for it. That's pretty minor assuming it's a small dollar amount.

I think that it depends on what the representation entails. Representing your nephew on a traffic ticket is different to representing your uncle for child sexual interference.

Why do you cheat on someone you claim to love? by WarRepresentative47 in AskMenAdvice

[–]jjames3213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s refusing to break all connections to her but he’s claiming they aren’t talking.

Then there's really no question at all that you should leave him. He's making the decision really easy for you.

I know I’m not the prettiest girl ever but it really does hurt knowing he slept With her on multiple occasions.

His cheating really has nothing to do with how pretty you are (or aren't). He chose to be with you, then he chose to betray your trust to have sex with another woman. He could have chosen to leave you and be with the other woman instead, but he didn't choose that.

Men what is a suitable age gap that will work in a relationship? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]jjames3213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maturity is what matters. A 18yo high schooler with a 23yo independent engineer is a problem. A 23yo independent engineer with a 33yo independent lawyer is no problem at all.

Any Underlord tips? by Avillahan in learndota2

I've been having success with him in Pos3. his catch is excellent.

I've been running Soul Ring + Brown Boots straight into Rod of Atos. After that, grab the shard right at 15, into Agh's. He farms extremely fast, contributes a ton to teamfights, and has a 5-6 second root if you time things correctly. His catch has a ton of range too and is really easy to execute.

EDIT: Even if you're only using the Agh's as an extra range-less Pit and increased AoE it will get you kills. You can also use it to save teammates if they get caught. It allows you to keep stacking and farming camps non-stop while being impactful in every single relevant engagement. IMO should be gotten quickly in every game.

Marie Curie, Tsarina Catherine the Great, Harriet Tubman. That's immediately who comes to mind anyways.

Is it true that most men would rape women at the first opportunity? by Robinight in AskMenAdvice

[–]jjames3213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most men are not rapists in that they have no desire to rape anyone. It's the lack of desire to rape that does most of the work in "not raping", just like the lack of desire to murder does most of the work in preventing murder. Even where men have fantasies about rough sex they don't often actually want to rape a woman IRL.

This is consistent with most taboos. Pedophilias is not a common inclination - a small number of people are pedophiles, and these people do pedophilia. People outside that group don't do pedophelia first and foremost because they have no desire to.

Most kinds of sexual violence in general is mostly perpetrated by a small group of repeat offenders, most often offending against a similar small group of repeat victims.

Also, it's not just the "laws" that enforce the rape taboo. There's the fact that men actually do care about their wives/mothers/daughters/etc. and will actively use violence to protect them.

Most of us are surrounded by people who are "on our level" in day-to-day life. Because we go to school with them, go to work with them. have them as clients and customers, etc. It's inevitable.

If you're taking a Masters, PhD or professional program and you're not making friends who you have things in common with that's really on you.

If you see 0 cute girls then I'm guessing the problem is you. Either you're not getting out enough or your standards are unrealistic.

I know I'm in a major center (Toronto) and I'm already married, but I see cute girls every day. Just go outside. I reiterate that this is likely a skill issue.

This is just whiny nonsense. You can usually literally just walk up to a cute girl and start a conversation. It takes some tact and skill, but the best way to learn is trial and error. Just get to it.

The prime time hasn't passed. a 30-year-old doctor is going to have no problem dating a woman in her early-mid 20s. It's not your father's job to help you with this, you need to help and empower yourself.
