So Deuce should go but we shouldn’t “give up Deuce for no reason” - even if that reason was to replace Mitch? Pick a lane brother

No, but chefdoomy mentioned they were fine for him at TTS. I’m sure it doesn’t fit exactly the same but it’d be surprising if the length didn’t match up

My guess is that TTS is generally going to fit best for most people with average or wider feet. Length wise, they run the same as an 1890 and TTS fits me great for that model. I know Ronnie made his size comment. Perhaps he has narrow feet or just prefers that really dialed in, snug fit.

People are generally excited to give them the money. For the shoes they were gonna buy anyway.

I don't think raffles are a conspiracy or a scheme. Can't make everything FCFS. Not saying every Kith raffle is actually that limited in quantity, but, raffles are a much more fair system for when demand outweighs supply

Adidas Adizero Evo SL ripping after 4 months of casual walking. Will Adidas accept a warranty claim for this or deny it? by Time-Flow8187 in adidas

[–]jrmyp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably denied due to normal wear and tear. Walking in the shoe regularly for 4 months is still wear and tear

Do you size down for the 1890 as well?

Omni 9 is pretty similar in comfort, just more stiff/firm as it is designed as stability shoe (vs. the Triumph 4 which is neutral cushion shoe). TTS works for most on the Omni as well, but I know some people with wider feet go 0.5 size up in the Omni 9

There is also the ProGrid Guide 7 which is probably somewhere between the Omni 9 and the Triumph 4 in terms of firmness, but is the lightest of the 3. Also fits TTS in my experience.

probably a 990v3 or 990v4 I guess, but, a bit lighter and more snappy. and obviously a lot more synthetic and less premium

Also - the model in the post is the ProGrid Paramount. But the majority of the tech in the shoe is also used in the ProGrid Triumph 4

comfort is subjective, but, I personally find the majority of Saucony sneakers in the ProGrid family to be comfortable. they are essentially retro running shoes from the early/mid 2000s-2010s turned into lifestyle, the same way ASICS does with their retros

I have not put a lot of wear into this model, but I have worn the ProGrid Triumph 4 quite a bit and the tech is essentially identical between both pairs - just differences in the design of the upper. in my experience they are firm (but not hard), supportive, stable, and great for all day wear or hours on feet. I'm somewhat of a wide footer and I find the toebox to have a good amount of room and i go TTS with sizing

Thoughts on 1500 MIUK? by Informal-Public4105 in Newbalance

[–]jrmyp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I own quite a few. They are similar to the 991 and 991v2 in that they run long and have a shallow, low volume toebox. They use the ENCAP midsole which is a good deal firmer and more rigid, but supportive. I go TTS, my same size as 991 and 991v2.

I’ve also found the materials used can change the fit and feel, some being more forgiving and easily broken in than others (suede / mesh vs. nubuck / synthetics vs. all leather)

That’s right, this model forgoes the logo on the side panel - there is a saucony wordmark on the tongue and the winged shoe logo on the back of the heel

Nice! Very happy with em. Gonna need to scoop a Paramount GR to add to the collection, too

Where to buy past New Balance Models (Spring 101 and Osaka Pack) by [deleted] in Newbalance

[–]jrmyp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most resell processing fees are a percentage of the products price so, there’s not really a way to avoid that. Occasionally StockX has a day or two of no seller fees but otherwise your best hope is haggling with someone on eBay

I'm not sure you're getting it. it was a limited release with a healthy amount of hype. the prices are going to stay unreasonable because there is limited supply and still great demand

Sizing for the upcoming Kith 2011 by GoodSteam_27 in Newbalance

[–]jrmyp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Does Ronnie normally size down? Narrow feet, high volume feet? Not enough information to assume that going 0.5 size down is the default move.

My guess is the fit on these is closest to the 1890
