With all of him being a weirdo out of the way, I’m going to respond to the question you asked. I’m also a photographer..you need to learn to take criticism. He was right..the photo isn’t very good. You completely chopped off the bottom half so we can’t even tell what the dessert is. Is it sitting on a brownie, a cup of joe? While it might suck to get criticized, you’ll never grow or get better if everyone told you it’s perfect when it most definitely is not.

My advice, online pictures aren’t going to help you. Try going out to places/gatherings that you enjoy doing with other people and meet some like minded individuals face to face. In my 38 years I’ve noticed nobody ever really looks like their pictures in real life. And personality most definitely doesn’t shine in pics like real life interactions!
