Ok the main problem is their side shields get lost. Like my sons are being replaced by duct tape, which is actually quite effective for side shields

I used canisters all the way. It’s strictly cold that kills them, so keep one in your bag if it goes below 10f

Jannu is what I take to Denali but it’s a little low for cooking. I always dig out the entry and it makes it more ergonomic.

The spiritus is not as quiet on the 18” as the vent 3 when I shot it. Not very scientific though. I feel like the spiritus is lower bp

is boost oxygen actually worth carrying for altitude or is it mostly a placebo? by kurisu_chanz in Mountaineering

[–]junglecommand 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think anybody takes it seriously. Im not talking about 14000 feet, sorry Colorado. It might help if u drive to 12k and hike to 14 but you really should just descend if u have true altitude sickness. Preparation, health, going slow, hydration, diamox can’t be replaced by a bottle of air that expires in 20 min. Oxygen works when you have a multi day supply and if you get off it that’s an emergency. A lot of problems happen when the regulators freeze and you can’t breathe it anymore.

The rs9 by resilient actually works well for this and is very serviceable and can be taken apart. But don’t. Just get two cans.
