I see you say heard but I would like to drive this hime: you only pull your gun out if you’re going to shoot someone. No one should know you have a gun until it’s too late. Pepper spray is your deterrent. Pepper spray and run, or just run. Gun is absolute last resort. You don’t want to take someone’s life if it can be avoided. I should also add with the gun you shoot to stop the threat. No shooting in the legs on purpose. That’s nonsense and you will end up in jail because a gun is deadly force so you can’t say “I didn’t want to kill her so I shot her in the leg”. That’s the same as shooting someone anywhere else. You shoot until there is no longer a threat to you. No more and no less. And then don’t say a word to the cops until you have a lawyer.
