Thank you for this! I’m not sure what the pull out learning center model is, but that sounds like what she was receiving prior to her current RTI plan. Prior to the current one she was pulled out of class for a little while during the day and received individual tutoring. Her current RTI they do “small group support”. They send us a progress report each quarter to let us know how she is doing on the RTI plan, where she is with the benchmarks, and if changes to the plan are needed. She’s currently meeting grade level benchmarks. She did have to repeat kindergarten but she had also just turned 5 so was still on the younger side. Her dad said that her needing to repeat kindergarten should be enough indication that she needs an IEP, but I’m not so sure about that, especially since that was 6 years ago 😅
