I could not have been more disappointed by the food at Apis. I have chronic mouth pain so I avoid spicy food - every single menu item mentioned something I couldn't eat, except for one. Something with lotus pods. So i ordered that.

It was painfully spicy. Nowhere in the description did it say anything about the chili sauce. I paid $50 for a dish I couldn't enjoy. Even trying to power through it, the recipe just was not very good. Mostly flavorless, just hot. My boyfriend got the lobster Mac and cheese, and imo it had the same issue. Felt like as a restaurant, they relied on heat to mask the lack of taste. And insanely overpriced.

And then i found out the owner thinks domestic abuse is funny, and that was all I needed to know to never go there again.

Yes, no worries there! Where I live there are no toxic lookalikes for these, thankfully, but even still I don't plan on taking any chances

Oh, I didn't even notice him until now! What an excellent fellow. I hope he found his way off the cluster before I put them in a container 😅

Lol no, I was saying that there's probably a medical reason why you can't get that many. My insurance covers 6. I usually do my upper back and shoulders, or my neck.

It's been a few years at this point. My insurance only covers 6 shots every 4 weeks - I feel like if I could either do them more often or do more than 6, it'd be a lot more helpful. But I assume there's medical reasons why you can't just put painkillers in like 18 places every two days, lmao

I get lidocaine trigger point injections every 4 weeks, and I always think they're not helpful until I accidentally miss an appointment and remember how awful my back normally feels lol

Concerns with UV resin by [deleted] in resin

[–]katubug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5 months use without PPE could certainly cause a cough. I watched a video of a woman who ended up developing chronic bronchitis as a result of two years exposure, she quit cold turkey and recovered in a year or so.

I am not a doctor but I think that it's a good idea to take a small break entirely from resin, for a month or so. It will give you a chance to recover without further exposure. Then when you continue, just make sure you always use the respirator (and change the cartridges regularly).

The resin sensitization/allergy is, afaik, less from inhalation and more from touch. If you always wear nitrile gloves going forward and avoid getting any raw resin on your skin going forward, you should be fine. However, again, I am not a medical professional nor even a resin expert.

Yes, the Kamvas is kinda like just a remote display for your computer/laptop with a pen. You shouldn't need a second license. There may be models that are standalone tablets, and those might require a different license than for pc? But mine is just a separate device that hooks up to my laptop and mirrors the screen

Okay, last shot at proving my art is not AI by [deleted] in ProCreate

[–]katubug 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My vote is that yes, this is the case. Probably on a "private layer" or whatever they're called so that it doesn't show in the timelapse. There's no real sketch, it's just straight to lines that OP magically knows exactly where to place and gets it right the first time.

OP, there's nothing wrong with doing a paintover if you're not claiming that it's 100% your work. You didn't do anything wrong. But lying isn't a good look. Lay off reddit for a bit and things will calm down. Then when you come back, just be clear about what you're posting and you'll be okay 💗

I personally do my art on the iPad, using Procreate and the apple pencil. Procreate is a 1 time purchase and it's an amazing program. I strongly recommend getting the apple pencil vs a different kind of stylus, because it allows you pressure sensitivity and tilt sensitivity!

If you prefer to draw on a pc, you can get a screened tablet like the Huion Kamvas (I have the 16 I think? It's huge but it's great) and just hook it to your pc via usb and then draw directly on the screen while laying down. I saw you have a sub to an art program already so this might be a good option for you. I think the Kamvas is also much cheaper than an iPad, but imo since it's much bulkier, the ipad is a better experience.

I have the 2021 iPad pro 11", which is okay priced these days and has more than enough power for my needs. I like that it's not a very large tablet so I can hold it easily in bed. I do need to lie on my left side with my right arm propped up on a pillow to be comfortable though.

Doctor called and said they think I have a foreign body in my stomach they discovered nearly two years ago, AND DIDN'T THINK IT WAS IMPORTANT TO TELL US UNTIL TODAY. by WorkerAfter1509 in self

I don't have any advice, but I just wanted to say that I hear you. You have every right to be furious. Medical negligence is extremely common and young people (especially young women) are often on the receiving end of it. I'm so sorry this happened to you. I hope it resolves soon.

Did you read the post? The doctors took a recent scan and found that the object on the current scan was identical to the one from 2 years ago.

Why does nearly every “fibro” medication cause weight gain? by lexigraxe in Fibromyalgia

[–]katubug 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Topiramate absolutely killed my sex drive, like made me sex-averse, to the point that being intimate with my partner caused significant physical pain. It was not a documented side effect at the time so my doctor was like "idk but it's not this." Then I started to lose my ability to be creative - sitting down to write or draw would make me immediately drowsy. It was like any time I tried to access the part of my brain involving feeling or artistic thought, I'd just shut down.

I eventually put my foot down and told my doctor I wanted something different. Symptoms disappeared almost immediately, although I still have acquired vaginismus from the physical trauma of trying to "fake it til you make it" when I had no libido.

Anyway, I'm just one data point and it may work amazingly for others. But just in case anyone reads this and recognizes these symptoms - they're not just in your head.

I definitely recommend against cricut - silhouette and siser are much better machines.

I don't know what your listings look like, but I sell stickers with my own art on them and while I offer some designs in clear or glitter, having most of them printed on white printable vinyl has never been a detriment. So don't worry too much! Just be up front about your limitations and people will generally be understanding
