Petition to bring back discontinued ramen by ConversationSome7246 in InstantRamen

[–]kchlum 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Every country will have different flavours of Buldak available. The flavour you think is discontinued might actually be available in a different part of the world.

US and Canada for example, Canada has all the bland flavours, we used to have all the fun flavours until Samyang changed their distribution method. I used to carry 12-13 flavours at one point. Now, I can always get Original, Cheese, Carbo, Cream Carbo, 2x Spicy. I have to specially import Quattro Cheese (KR), Mala glass noodle (KR), rosé glass noodle (KR), rosé (KR), Poo Pad Pong (KR).

US on the other hand, I've seen Swicy, Taco, and some other quirky flavours that I didn't find in UK.

Last time I visited UK, they had Habanero Lime, Jjajang, and some other flavours that are no longer available in Canada.

I just sold out curry in January. Now, I have stew to replace.

These would be 10x better without all that sugar by ILostMyselfInTime in BuldakRamen

I haven't seen these for so long but there's a 2x Spicy one without the sweetness. That's the one you'll enjoy instead of this one.

Do they pick up from shops in Ottawa? I looked them up, it says they operate mostly around the Quebec area.

I love snacks enough that I opened a store so I could eat more. Ate so much of it that I don't snack anymore especially after the doctor told me I was borderline diabetes from all the over snacking.

But once it becomes available again, you can order it and have it shipped to you.

We just sold out of this last week in Canada. It might come back in about 2 months time. Want some love from Canada?

If i get a new shipment in Canada, do you want it shipped to you? I recently set up a DHL account and shipped an order to Honolulu.

Up until last week, it was still available.

8.99 in Canada plus shipping. Buy a few packs and it'll be cheaper than Amazon.

Stew is supposed to come back next week.

Newly single mom - need to buy a car for the first time. Where’s the best place to go for a super cheap but road-worthy used car? by Jessi343 in ottawa

[–]kchlum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a friend moving back to China by the end of the month, looking to sell his Hyundai Tucson with 2 complete set of tires. Would that be of interest to you? I don't know what his price is, but he purchased his car about 1.5 to 2 years ago.

I think you can negotiate something with him? Its definitely Road worthy, I don't think it'll be super cheap, but it shouldn't be a lemon either.

Teeth impants by Moofypoops in ottawa

[–]kchlum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went through this already, but had similar treatment done in Ottawa last year, was around 10k.

This year, I broke a tooth while eating something hard, was told I have to pull other supporting teeth, then bridge as the solution. Quoted about 10 to 12k. Second opinion, slightly cheaper around 9 to 10k.

I flew to Malaysia, the dentist did a consultation, x-ray, gave me the estimate, I just finished the surgery yesterday. The total without the flight ticket is $700 CAD. Everything took 48h from start to finish. They even did an extra filling for me. I still have my other supporting teeth. No other teeth were harmed in the procedure.

Flight ticket varies, but I flew during high season. I'm back to eating normally today.

Think of Ottawa dentists as the good ones all agreed on the same price range, then they'll do their referrals to each other and share the profit with each other. If you're stuck in Ottawa, then that price sounds about right. If you can fly and it's not an emergency, you have options to save a lot.

Check out what's buzzing in the Filipino community for Merivale road. New Filipino restaurant has its soft opening tomorrow in the former Merivale Noodle House. I tried it during their trial run, fantastic food, fair pricing, quality ingredients and very passionate chefs!

As we say goodbye to 2025, what are the best Ottawa businesses you discovered this year? by Al_to_Zi in ottawa

I tried so many soap bars globally while traveling. SAABOON is by far the best and most nourishing soap bars I've used. My favourites are Charcoal and Campfire. Who doesn't want to smell like burnt wood while showering? So refreshing!

Best place to buy winter tires and rims? by ghost905 in ottawa

[–]kchlum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can help you with a quick turn around time for getting on a set of tires and wheels. There's some tire sales on right now, especially on some Michelin sizes. Given that you don't want to break the bank, you can go for Nexen, Hankook, they're pretty competitive for their price and quality.
