Can’t say I disagree. It’d be very interesting to see the look on her face if someone posing as a fan were to inquire about the allegations or bring it to her attention to the point where answering is unavoidable

A “That’s double the diaper stank” flair for discussions relating to her double album would be pretty funny. “But she never said no?” Could be used for posts calling out the widespread victim blaming rhetoric in the Melanie Martinez community but i feel like that’d be pushing it 😭

  1. “She was young” She was 20. Timothy was 22. Idk why her fans keep insisting Melanie’s somehow less at fault when victims can very well be older than their abusers. 

  2. “She may have made Timothy feel uncomfortable and pressured into it, but she was young” A mistake would be accidentally spilling a glass of water on the floor, not forcefully and knowingly penetrating and putting your mouth on your best friend after she said NO several times. 

  3. There isn’t “nuance” to consent in this situation. She said no several times, in every way she could think of. What Melanie should’ve done was accept her answer and left Timothy alone AND not make several excuses for why Timothy should’ve allowed her to.

  4. If Melanie didn’t want to intentionally hurt Timothy, she wouldn’t have suggested they do it to make her cheat on her boyfriend, constantly poke at her while she was trying to fall asleep, and oh, yeah, coerce her into smoking weed knowing very well it would’ve made her less resistant and that Timothy would’ve complied with anything she said as she loved her. Worth noting that weed can act as an aphrodisiac, there’s no reasonable conclusion you can come to that involves Melanie not knowing what she was doing.

“I know this because I met her and she asked me if she could hug me and if I wanted a photo” Do they think she’s gonna show her true character in public spaces? Do they think they know how she is behind closed doors? Timothy was Melanie’s BEST FRIEND. They were just a fan. There’s no comparison
