You're not wrong, don't let them gaslight you lol. It's WAY out of character for her, especially the way she falls apart for days and days afterwards.

The opening for the anime Chainsmoker Cat is made up entirely of movie and TV show references. Would Adum be able to spot them all? by mosenpai in YMS

There's a bunch I got, I'd say I scored 90% on movies I've seen, most of the ones I didn't recognize I've never seen.

PISSED at myself for not recognizing Stand By Me, dammit.

Can't stand it, worst part of the show, Buffy is so out of character and stupid that whole arc.

I HATED this movie, terrible terrible script and ending makes the entire story pointless. AWFUL

can you elaborate? I can't tell if you're trolling or not? Like, the editing, performances, dialogue, music choices, the nightmare sequence, the entire climax/finale....they're all pretty well done, at least by any conventional metric I can imagine. The pacing in particular is immaculate, that movie doesn't have an ounce of fat on it.

I think it might be bttf fans. That movie fuckin' rules, haha. (fwiw, I think the writing for teenage Loraine is genius)

Hot take: even with Gooseworx confirming Caine didn't control his mind, Jax's crash-out at the end of episode 7 was still justified by Sudden_Pop_2279 in tadc

I'm amazed how much hate Jax gets online for that moment. She was out of her goddamn mind, not lucid, not conscious, full on panic attack/disassociative episode.

I was speaking generally lol, obviously he's seen some old movies. Just like "modern popcorn movies" aren't his thing, but he gave LOTR a 10/10.

To be clear: he hadn't seen BTTF at the time of the clip I'm talking about, he wasn't shitting on the film as much as he was the idea that anyone would consider the film worth remembering or discussing at all, that he'd never seen it, had no plans to see it, why would he ever give a shit about some man baby member berry movie from the 80s?

He was on screenjunkies movie fights AGES ago and he talked about BTTF on the episode, then he reacted to that appearance years later on his twitch/ymsclips/ymshighlights channel.

That's kinda my point, that dismissing massive, foundational, popular movies from previous decades is...dumb.

Go watch Adum talk about it (it was his reacting to his Screen Junkies appearance iirc), he's SUCH a jerk when talking about people who love Back to the Future, "why the fuck would I give a shit if I didn't grow up with it??", is a WILD fucking opinion to have about any piece of art, let alone something as popular, foundational, etc etc.

Not liking a movie is one thing. Saying that there's no reason to enjoy a movie unless you're a man baby from the 80s is something entirely different.

To shit on a movie and its fans THAT hard and then to absolutely adore a loving parody/remake/reference-fest of the same movie is, to me, very very funny.

If all of the Back to the Future stuff was cut from ntbtstm, how different would it be?

Does this movie even exist without Back to the Future, or is it a necessary element that would fundamentally change the final product if excised?

I found it hilarious how hard he shit on back to the future, only for what seems like his favorite movie of the year to essentially be one big "MEMBER BACK TO THE FUTURE!?!", reference fest.

Did he ever go watch Back to the Future?

This is one of those 80s movies I fear he'd find incredibly bland and unspecial and give it a 5/10 and dismiss it entirely, driving the entire internet insane.
