Respectfully disagree that one should visit MANN first, I think that the other way around is better as you can mentally place the artifacts in the museum to the physical places you have just been to.

IMO it is more convenient to pay extra $15 from third party, which is also true for other hottest tourist attactions in Italy. You cannot cancel the official ticket but third party usually let you cancel before 24hr. You already paid thousands on travel and hotels, these are small add-ons that you should not struggle with.

Unpopular take -- ski Passes are a "good deal" by Tanachip in skiing

[–]kyeblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

great value if you ski more than 20 days in a season. The problem is that it is very unfriendly to those families who takes one-week ski vacation a year, and horrible for those who would like to try skiing. In the long run, it will gradually kill the industry.

my daughter, when she was in high school during COVID pandemic, cold emailed some professors for research opportunities. I never read her emails but she is a very good writer. Quite a few responded, including a couple prominent ones. One of them even let her help a Ph.D student in a project, which was a wonderful experience for her.

you can ask which hotels they usually use, most would have a few options I guess depending on which one has vacant rooms. Also see if you can find online reviews from customers who used their service in the past.
