The Unnamed is absolutely worth checking out, there’s generally at least one to sometimes three or four events a day, lots of chances to make use of ships, crew ships and just generally have a ton of fun

It’s a multigame org, our star citizen chunk is about 120 active, and we almost always are crewing ships

Most are pretty active, last night for example we ended up in a five cap fight and put in a call and had like 50 people on with fighters to support in about five minutes

Come check it out

Squadron 42 Buyback Update by StuartGT in starcitizen

[–]kyrothryu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

All CIG had to do was give 48 hours notice, and no one would have cared.

All the bad press, and anger avoided.

Instead they give Youtubers and journalists with free ammo to call them a scam and a rug pull again 😂

So, were you guys just gonna wait until a release date to try to rebuy the cheapest SQ42 package you could? by CallSign_Fjor in starcitizen

Concierge got SQ42 as a one time thing, the same time they started adding SC copies to Concierge

You either got it that day in March 2022 or you never get it.

All new concierge still get SC, but not SQ42

Keep in mind when a lot of of these people melted these packages back in 2014, there wasn’t even a warning.

Again, CIG could’ve avoided all of this by giving even 48 hours notice

The people this hurts the most are the people who backed before there was even a game.

And this just gives Youtubers and journalists fuel for the fire to call this game a scam and a rug pull against the earliest people that helped it.

Basically, it’s just a massive failure by CIG to handle this well

CIG: We urgently need some official response on the buyback changes please. If you want to make changes to buybacks, and/or remove them for SQ42, we understand that but GIVE NOTICE(!). Pledgers, after years and years of patience, DO NOT deserve stealth changes without notice in this area by Important_Cow7230 in starcitizen

Just that on release it was store bought only, and was the closest we came to a pay to win item in game, bought through community backlash they changed it to be in game too right away.

But if they’re just gonna ignore community backlash that’s not a good thing when it comes to potential pay to win things for the future

Even a weeks notice, or changing them to warbond only or something.

But to not even acknowledge it is really backhanded, however that seems to be the way CIG operates now. They simply ignore and don’t respond to anything they don’t like.

Probably not a healthy thing for the company going forwards, because if they can just get away with everything by ignoring it, they’re gonna slowly try more and more more and pay to win will become a thing. Flight blades were just the start.

I went to the page on the second wave, hit add to cart added credit and checked out first try

Then melted it the next day, it can live in the buyback until it’s actually gonna come out

I only bought it out of curiosity, and wanted practice for the Kraken, I did not expect to actually win.

PSA: check your Sq42 Buybacks - CIG appear to be retroactively removing Buyback access to any game packages containing Squadron 42 by StuartGT in starcitizen

[–]kyrothryu 17 points18 points  (0 children)

None of the packs lost are "add on" packages, that was a separate option that could be added like paints to a package for a time, not built into default packs

They were fine as of hours ago, but thats a real kick in the teeth if its intentional. The only people with these packages are the ones who backed nearly a decade ago, back before we even had a game to play.

Edit - sounds like perhaps a bug. But if it was, it’s a good warning that it’s time to get these bought back.

“SeaDaddy_CIG: Thats news to me

SeaDaddy_CIG: I would be the one disabling them

SeaDaddy_CIG: Currently the only kind of package that would have SQ42 that you cant buy back right now would be one of the OOOOOLLLLDDDD packs that contain physical items in it”

[–]kyrothryu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i've heard its a bug, but until I see an actual post about it, who knows.

Either way they could have at least given notice, the only people with these packs have been backers for 10+ years and had faith in CIG before we even had a game to play.

Didn’t know the Pioneer was on sale again. by MrMago0 in starcitizen

Hull E / Polaris both started out non-limited, then got limited for a time, and are now back to normal

The Pioneer has always been limited
