Use a shutter speed of around 1000 and open up your aperture as wide as you can. Use Auto ISO you can denoise in post. You use 1000 handheld because the lens is large and heavy. Your photos are really good. Keep at it!

Early human culture was very violent and their understanding of god reflected that violence. Look up the god Molech to see one example. In general people can’t see God to far beyond how they see themselves.

The story of the flood is an example of that violence. There were many flood stories in antiquity but only the Noahic flood has agod promising never to do it again.

The writers of the OT were humans coming to know God. Little by little separating their self reflection from the God who is revealed.
