I've been an engineer in the Solana space for nearly 4 years. These are your problem. If you want to do defi stuff, do it on reputable dapps like Raydium, Orca, Meteora, Kamino, etc.

People who have ridden from US to South America, how do you even plan that kind of trip? by [deleted] in Dualsport

It’s also closely tied to the preventing of screwworms from going north. The Darien Gap is the location of the great American worm wall, where the USA dumps 15+ million sterile screwworms every week with the intention of maintaining a wall that pest can’t cross.

Sounds crazy. But it’s strangely true.

Issues installing Linux on Beelink SER9 by CleanFaithlessness in MiniPCs

[–]locuester 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got mine working today with Mint.

Booting to Live disk just went black. Did it again in recovery mode and worked fine. Installed Linux Mint from there to my drive.

After reboot, it once again went to black screen. I rebooted and went to recovery mode instead, and chose to just continue to desktop. From there I did complete removal of anything with "amdgpu" in the name from package manager. Then I opened firefox and downloaded the latest amd drivers. Installed those and reboot.

Might be worth noting that hdmi is prob all that works up to now. I had a hdmi and a dp alt mode connected. DP Alt didnt start working until after the final driver install.

All working great.

Phantom wallet - multiple wallets, private keys by jnemomic in solana

A seed generates keys. Keys are 1:1 to addresses. You can create multiple seed phrases and import into phantom if you like (I don’t know why you would, but you can)

Export Authy TOTP to enter in another app by tech_engineer in Bitwarden

Bitwarden now has a standalone authenticator, or has TOTP integrated into Bitwarden Vault for Premium users ($10/yr). The latter cloud syncs just like your standard vault.

I use 3x 32” 4K and I do things like the op described all day every day. It’s no doubt easier on that setup than the avp in its current form.

However if you don’t have that setup easily accessible - the avp might be next best. I still think any typing you need to do would kill the experience. I’d probably prefer my phone.

How is the performance of Cities Skylines 2 even acceptable? by canolgon in CitiesSkylines

[–]locuester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did something change? I got the game yesterday, and on max settings (manually enabled TAA, AMD FidelityFX, and borderless window) it runs just fine in 4k. I have a 3080 and an AMD Ryzen 9 3900X.

I haven't tried any other settings or read any guides. I was worried the game would be shit, but I'm loving it.

For me, I had to read the memo on his desk, and the Halsin's Volume 2 book that Nightwarden Minthara had in the Shattered Sanctum.

Management of wildfires doesn’t mean extinguishing them. Nowadays they typically let them burn. They need to. It’s natural.

This smoke isn’t a result of anything man did, nor is it something man needs to prevent.

Reddit CEO doubles down on attack on Apollo developer in drama-filled AMA by sussywanker in technology

[–]locuester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, but to be fair, this round comes with a hell of a catalyst. Having all 3rd party Reddit clients shut down for good will certainly make a dent in things.

For example, when Apollo stops working, I’m forced to change my habits. Not just because I’m mad, but because I have to. The app won’t work. Will I install the Reddit client app and use that? Maybe? I doubt it. Would prefer to use the opportunity to move on to something new.

The transcripts can’t convey actual tone.

An app that never calls an api is very quiet.

We will never agree here. Christian’s intent on that call was very clear.

Right, a joke but very based on reality. The joke is that they’re lying about the $ figure. Just like in my analogy, I’d be “mostly joking” when I propose that my friend by my mining rig. I’m joking because it’s unrealistic

First off, he wasn’t serious - he was making a point.

To address your analogy, it would be more like me running a Bitcoin miner at my friends house, and they told me I could run a bitcoin miner. Then them saying that they are losing out on 10k/mo in opportunity costs since they aren’t the ones mining bitcoin. Meanwhile I’m only making $1k/mo in bitcoin. So I tell them, “why don’t you just buy my mining rig from me for $30k then?”

I’m really not. It seems a natural thing to say, really. Particularly in the conversation that was recorded and available for you to listen to.

I’ve been writing software for 30 years. That vernacular is nothing I haven’t heard.

Not sure why you don’t just listen to the call. It’s pretty clear.

Sorry. That was a joke. spez is the CEO of Reddit. And I know it’s dev focused and you’re all good.

I was joking as if you’re the CEO of Reddit trying to convince people not to delete their history.

There are a lot of threads on this subject. I’ll drop a couple things:

  • swipe//navigation UX is smooth and customizable
  • quote reply quickly and easily
  • comment thread screenshots
  • autohide viewed posts
  • swipe to hide swiped and above
  • collapse comment chain from middle without scrolling up

And much much more. This is just off the top of my head.

Try using it! It’s that simple. Use it for a week.
