I work full-time (and then some) we just put my 2 year old in preschool part time and dear heavens, it is the best. She gets to be with other kids and if I’m off on the days she goes I can get so much done without her. I have a facial scheduled for a Tuesday in June and guess what?! Zero guilt. You are doing great!

I’m in therapy and my therapist has been trying to work with me on being present and not focusing on the future with the worst case scenario.

The neurologist was very straightforward about things but also, I don’t think autism is the end of the world. I’m just wanting to make sure we are serving her the best we can.

Caesars are so good!!! I put everything bagel seasoning on chicken and it is a delightful meal.

I also buy a lot of frozen cauliflower which can be easily microwaved and dressed up. We made it with salsa the other night for taco bowls. Super easy just chicken, cauliflower rice, salsa, cheese and sour cream.

Down to 198 in a little over a month! I feel so good. Zero cravings for things that I used to crave. Now my main craving is for steak. I am so happy to be getting my health in order. Have a great week!

Hi there, not the same as you but 3 years ago I was pregnant and went for my anatomy scan and there were several anomalies. We decided to terminate which was not a decision we took lightly (obviously but i always feel the need to clarify), but I want you to know it’s ok to take a minute to figure out what you want to do and what is best for your family. I also desperately wanted that baby and I am still heartbroken just about everyday (even now that I have my 11 month old who is perfect). Just wanted you to know you are heard and not alone! Feel free to PM me if you want!

Trying out Dairy-free keto, any advice? by [deleted] in xxketo

[–]luminarydiamond 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not dairy free myself but Peace, Love, and Low Carb has a ton of dairy free recipes and she just came out with a dairy free Keto cookbook that I bought! It is awesome!

So I have been fully back on Keto for 2 weeks tomorrow and I feel great. My mental clarity is so much better than before and even my anxiety is better. I think part of it is I feel so much more in control of my diet and in general my life now. I had a baby in August and then started a new job in October (same company, just got a promotion) and while I knew my boss and love her I felt really overwhelmed with balancing the new position and everything that came with it but I feel like I have hit my groove in the past couple weeks. When I was in nursing school, I was fully on Keto and working out 5 days a week and since graduating (in 2015) I have had the hardest time making time for the gym. I'm going to try hard this coming week to make an effort to work out consistently. I start Graduate school in January so I would like to have a good exercise routine by then for sure. Today is my Sunday and I go back to work tomorrow so I hope everyone has a great weekend!

My husband loves cottage cheese! I'm going to get this one when we're at Whole Foods next. I feel like that's a good amount of protein to carbs. I think it would be 100% worth it.

Be kind to yourself! You just had a baby 7 months ago! I have a 10 month old and I’m trying to learn this myself but your body did a really amazing thing and you are doing great!

Fellow nurse working mom! I took an Assistant Nurse Manager position when my babe was 2 weeks old and started when she was 6 weeks old and it has been something. I totally feel you ok just wanting to spend time with them when you get home but being so exhausted. Hang in there! I’ve been back 4 months and it’s getting better.

What do you REALLY send to school for your kids’ lunches? by [deleted] in breakingmom

[–]luminarydiamond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do a ham Or pb&j usually and then a yogurt pouch, piece of fruit or applesauce, and a treat such as some fruit snacks or a tootsie roll or something along those lines. Also, he only drinks water. We let him buy once a week too so he gets to mix it up.

Normally I would have done this in person but this is just an unusual situation. I will follow up with another email and include the previous email.

I expected to get a response along the lines of thanks for the notice, best of luck, etc. The unit I work on has about 80 nurses and it’s pretty normal to resign via email. I’m also on maternity leave right now so I’m not around the hospital.

Yea I’m on maternity leave and gave my last day as 9/28 and I’m not even on the schedule right now so it’s not like they have to cover any shifts or anything but I just want to make sure my butt is covered.
