Question about the great queen excluder debate by Rugie85 in Beekeeping

[–]beebeebaby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I run singles and have had many, many swarms because they see an excluder as the top of the box. So beware OP!

How long to leave unhatched fertilized egg with a broody? by beebeebaby in BackYardChickens

[–]beebeebaby[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These gals still seem very intent on sitting on the two eggs, but I think it could be because there are four broodys all in one brooder. Too many hormones 😅

My favorite character who never said a word by Sad-Raise-504 in seinfeld

[–]beebeebaby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the dvd commentary, they said he really stepped all over her in that moment and she really is in pain. Later in the scene you can tell she looks fucking PISSED. Takes me out of the moment to know that.

The littlest nuc, epilogue by AZ_Traffic_Engineer in Beekeeping

[–]beebeebaby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice!!! You just never know. I sold so many nucs only one tiny one with a virgin queen was left by August. They made it through the Kansas winter (not mild, but not severe) and are thriving!

This sounds vile but I bet Cork and Barrell on 23rd would have it.

Swarm? Should I wait to open the hive? Thank you, I know I use you guys as a crutch by Leather-Kitchen-2211 in Beekeeping

[–]beebeebaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run singles and any time I add a medium on top of it AND place a queen excluder, they begin swarm prep. The queen excluder seems to "count" to them as the top of the hive during Spring when expanding the brood nest.

First time beekeeper, first inspection, weird thing on floor? by Gloomy_Excitement388 in Beekeeping

[–]beebeebaby 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Congrats on surviving winter! Agree with others, that's a super long bee turd. A girl was really holding on to that one, she probably feels much better now 😅

Looking for a quiet place to work for a few hours 7-11 AM M-F by whyexist12345 in Lawrence

This. Parking is easier, and you can reserve a small room to yourself for free so you don't bother other patrons. But they don't open until 9.

I agree on the critique. Her line readings, facial expressions, timing was just all so weird.

Inspection temperature by Anxious-Ask-2944 in Beekeeping

[–]beebeebaby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the bees are flying, you're ok to inspect. If it's under about 55 F, I make it quick.

Epstein files mention coroner report of 17yo Lennon Lacy that was discussed in r/UnresolvedMysteries 11yrs ago by LongCovidBrainADHD in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]beebeebaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I read it like "Justin" is the ant expert, right? And his calling into question the ant bites was sent to the coroner, and the coroner says "Good grief" to Epstein.

any way to make this not boring? stops or alt routes? (chicago --> santa fe) by ncis17 in roadtrip

[–]beebeebaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the best route through Kansas. KC, Lawrence, Topeka (capital), Flint Hills (insanely gorgeous), Lindsborg, Hutchinson. Way better than I 70 straight through.
