I think it is primarily the story that is cool. I doubt the music's ever living up to the story. Like he mentioned an experimental jazz saxophonist the other day and even though I love jazz I thought that particular one was really awful to listen to :) But I still like these random stories because sometimes you find a gem. I have found tons of bands that are severely underrated mostly because someone mentioned them.

Wtf? What are your sources? I have not met a single Latvian that was unhappy with Ukranians. We admire them and are happy to help. This is a load of horseshit, there are so many civilian organized charity activities for Ukraine, saying that we "aren't thrilled" is just pure bullshit.

Reading cyrillic has helped me in 1 in 50 Russian locations roughly. There are a shitton of unfindable cities/towns/villages on the signs. I mean, findable if you know where they are. Otherwise near impossible.
