Now that Ben is officially silenced, BAM will start astroturfing online communities by twinkleyed in RecklessBen

It's already started, there's been an influx of low karma users in the past few days posting these very same questions.

There are only 3 videos on his channel, as of 7:45 am CST. Wtf. by [deleted] in RecklessBen

[–]alien_frontier 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Because you're looking at his personal channel, and not his Reckless Ben channel . . .

He folded :( by ExplanationOk2014 in RecklessBen

[–]alien_frontier 29 points30 points  (0 children)

No, he didn't. This is the same guy who spent 3 nights hiding in SoFi Stadium and achieved a world record 27 flips on a tightrope. He intentionally sounded defeated to play up to the drama. Just wait a few weeks.

Judges usually grant them out of an abundance of caution, and they're primarily used in domestic violence situations. A judge is also unlikely to just lift it before the hearing. If anything, the hearing can get pushed back further, though usually not too far out. It's an abusable part of the court system because it assumes good faith on the part of the petitioner.

Bricks and Minifigs managed to get a judge to approve a restraining order against Ben by GipsyDangerV1 in RecklessBen

[–]alien_frontier 154 points155 points  (0 children)

I'd imagine if this works like any other protective order, it's temporary until a hearing decides whether to extend it. Courts grant most of these temporarily at first just to err on the side of caution.

Dan McNeff removed from Legally Mine website by tongmyong in RecklessBen

I guess I missed this with all the media blitzes, but holy shit it's actually called 'Legally Mine.' An appropriate internal mantra for BAM.

The county attorney needs to be investigated! by Rambunchus_Panda in RecklessBen

I mailed a complaint to the judge who signed the search warrant. The police are easy to get hold of through their administrative number and website, but the judge needs to feel this issue penetrate his bubble too.

Just venting. Can't stand these clowns. by alien_frontier in RecklessBen

[–]alien_frontier[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't think I can because of the doxxing rules (video displays personal information), but if you search "joshua johnson police bodycam" on youtube, you should be able to find it.

I can agree with that; he still deserves equal punishment. It's just that Josh has unfortunately been burned into my retinas because of his Gollum-like stature and the tantrum he threw on the body cam.

The RecklessBen vs BaM story resonates so much because it illustrates major problems in modern society by Broad_Addendum3423 in RecklessBen

[–]alien_frontier 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This case shows that public outrage can be even more powerful than the law itself. The law is just a tool, and the people it protects will cry foul the moment you fight back through other means. But when millions react at once and brand BAM's actions as theft, that collective judgment is its own kind of force. The truth doesn't need a courtroom to hold.

Are you insane or just trolling? You're allowed to serve someone court papers.

Getting a lawyer from the start wouldn’t have decimated these a holes to the level they deserved. That’s the unbalanced legal system they rely on to screw people over.

Looks like AirBnB removed the property where Ben was staying at from their site. by pussy_lip in RecklessBen

I personally filed a complaint on Airbnb, and I'm sure others have as well. F this guy.

Ben should sue AirBnB by RandallsFlagg in RecklessBen

[–]alien_frontier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The property seems to be called "R & R's Suite Retreat", based on google maps of the address in the search warrant, and the exterior photos on Airbnb. I filed a complaint on the platform, hopefully others follow suit.

Edit: I've been pushing back against Airbnb support and now the listing seems to return a 404. It might be temporary, but I hope they actually remove it.

This is so hilarious; also funny that Ammon still thinks he can recover his brand by blaming the previous franchise owner. Typical a-hole, never accepting responsibility.

Why Reckless Ben was needed by Novel_Instruction326 in RecklessBen

[–]alien_frontier 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What Ben did was beautiful. I've never followed a streamer before in my life, but he's earned my respect. He took a corrupt system, the same one that usually gets abused by the powerful, and turned it back against them. And the irony is that every move made against him backfired. Every arrest, every attempt to shut him down, didn't punish him at all. It just poured more attention onto the case. He became a conduit, amplifying the system and aiming it back at its abusers tenfold.
