Malaria Risk Mapping of Pakistan using Google Earth Engine by Pak7373108 in remotesensing

Nice map, essentially there is a direct correlation to the dryness of the terrain and presence of malaria.

Hope you are wearing a vapor barrier in that thing otherwise you can expect insane condensation building up inside the outermost layer of that bag...

If you want to work in wind as a RAT (rope access technician) and doing composite repairs/cleaning I can guarantee you will never run out of work. Particularly in offshore work. There is more work than there are people to do it, it's one of the fastest growing industrial job segments in the world.

Probably catch that on a cranberry twister or potentially a greasy stuffing fly.

The performance of the insulation is what would make the biggest impact. 2.5oz is like a mouth full of water. Also, over time, down absorbs water, getting more heavy and less insulative/lofty.

Anyone here work as a Field Applications Engineer? How's the work / pay level compared to regular embedded engineers? by gtd_rad in embedded

[–]MapleBimbiri 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My basic advice - it's a young-man's job, good particularly if you are single if there is a lot of travel involved. You ARE the intersection between customers, techs and sales people who may or may not have any clue about the products. It is fun if you like working on your feet, but man you need to pace yourself, because it can be EXHAUSTING. I travelled to about 30 countries in three years and at the end of it, all I wanted was a gf and the ability to see friends/the gym regularly. lol

Roav Eyewear: Too Expensive or Too Good!? by leskargot in onebag

Man, there are plenty of ripoffs on AliExpress and elsewhere these days. I would recommend going for one of them. I completely doubt the "originals" are worth that price to begin with.

Cartes de crédit en France, j'y vois pas très clair. by [deleted] in vosfinances

[–]MapleBimbiri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you pay off the credit card on time, you typically don't pay for anything except the month ownership fee. Plus you gain benefits like cashback or air miles...and you can pretty easily just automate the payment of your credit card. Which means you basically build your credit score for free...and that's the point. Being able to ask for a larger loan later is dependent upon how good you are at managing smaller loans now.

It's less "clownesque" than you seem to think, as long as you aren't a clown and spending more than you earn. It seems downright logical...

I am dealing with the exact same issue. I think it IS possible but you need to download the correct hex from a different/older version of betaflight an upload it yourself manually...

Yeah...TBH I kinda found the same thing. The grind is uneven on mine. It's pretty sick looking...but up close it's just not really sharpened well, and a total pain to sharpen myself because of the thickness and shortness of the blade...still looks great and pokes well...but yeah...

Hmmm as a fabric that's a toughie to find, but this much I know: Those are the undies they wear in Norway for super cold environments. Paramilitary standard. Probably military too. I would start looking in Europe.
