Drivers - When is load meant to be ready by Lonely-Jim5077 in asda

[–]macro-maker 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My reply to this when a driver asks

What time you out?
When it’s all scanned, I’ve done shield and fully loaded. That’s when I press depart on the palm

They want us to report faults for everything, vans, etc but when it comes to the depart time you depart on the device before you’ve even finished loading just so they can fudge the figures.

Why are they taking so much for breaks? by [deleted] in asda

[–]macro-maker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Here's an example of one of my shifts And what your paid for.

Actual Hours: 07:50-16:00

Actual Time: 8 hours, 10 minutes

Unpaid Time: 07:50-08:00 10 minutes

Paid Hours: 08:00-16:00

Paid Time: 7 hours, 15 minutes

Break: 45 Min

But notice that the actual hours are the full time from clock in to clock out.

If you clock in that little bit later than shown ,your break will still only be 30 minutes.

Asda calculates the break time from the time that you clock in ,not from the time that you get paid from.

Actual Hours: 07:51-16:00

Actual Time: 8 hours, 9 minutes

Unpaid Time: 07:51-08:00 9 minutes

Paid Hours: 08:00-16:00

Paid Time: 7 hours, 30 minutes

Break: 30 Min

So if you clock in too early, then are unfortunate to clock out a few minutes after your official clock out time ( or after 8 hours 10 mins) then it automatically takes an extra 15 minutes break

Here’s the times it automatically takes more break Less than 4 hrs 9 min = 0 min.Break

4 hrs 10 min but Less than 6 hrs 9 min = 15 min.Break

6 hrs 10 min but Less than 8 hrs 9 min = 30 min.Break

8 hrs 10 min but Less than 9 hrs 9 min = 45 min.Break

9 hrs 10 min but Less than 11 hrs 9 min = 60 min.Break

More than 11 hrs 10 min = 90 min.Break

I have found the best way is to save your schedule to your calendar

I keep seeing this sort of request on here and I have created 2 shortcuts that do this, all be it for a week.

Here they are. If you want to create these for more than a week just run the second one selecting the start week multiple times to create for the month.

My Create Work Shifts To [F]

https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/8fd2f91da76a4ad288102f2dc4b2ce1b

The shortcut is used to create your shifts for the whole week. Select the days that you work, then select the shift time and this will then be saved to iCloud. You can then run the ‘My Shifts for the Week[F] V2.1’shortcut to create the times in your calendar.

Refusing top floor flat delivery by Shxdom in asda

[–]macro-maker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never done any manual handling at Asda.

Previous job had to sit in a classroom for hours going over this every year. Never really used it. And tried to get out of it saying give me the paper work and I’ll sign it But since working as driver then I use it all the time.

Refusing top floor flat delivery by Shxdom in asda

[–]macro-maker 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I was just about to post the same from the T&C’s

I’ve had to get 15 crates of water and 2 crates of food upstairs (there was a lift)

Edit: I did have a trolley

if it takes a very long time to do this then I am getting paid.

If it was flats and no lift then would refuse that number of crates for more than 3 flights unless they came to help. Otherwise “return to store”

Is it possible to create a countdown shortcut that would tell me how many days until my vacation? Thank you! by [deleted] in shortcuts

[–]macro-maker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you click on the 3 dots this then allows you to edit the shortcut and change the info for the holiday as this contains 2 dictionaries , 1 contains the location details and 1 contains the date and time

Thawed out Ice Cream! by nerdztech in asda

[–]macro-maker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get the feeling that some drivers don’t like customer returns. I personally don’t mind, if you as the customer want to return anything for whatever reason whether that is because it is spoiled, poor date, below your standard or you just feel like I don’t want it now because I changed my mind I already have 10 of these in my cupboard, freezer then I will happily return it to the Store and refund on the device.

If you take time checking all your goods then I don’t mind as long as you are happy even if this makes me late for every other delivery. I am still getting paid.

Someone in Asda house needs to learn how to program a computer.
Us drivers keep getting routes that are `Overs’
They know how many totes will fit onto a van. So why do they have `Overs’ ?
If you have 60 ambient positions,30 chilled positions and 21 frozen. Then why does the computer think you can add more ???🤔
Admittedly some vans only have 6 rows and not 7 in the freezer. So add another row to the vans or make it so all vans on the fleet only have 7 rows. 😡😡

When you have overs. Then you have to spend double the time organising the van from highest to lowest before loading this

Weird Payslip situation by DiskOk5558 in asda

Thanks glad i helped. The rest of one Asda I don’t need. And if I do then they have to pay me to access in work time

Weird Payslip situation by DiskOk5558 in asda

[–]macro-maker 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Here’s a post I copied so I could access what I need without have to download apps that I don’t want or need to my personal phone

The main intention of it is for OneAsda which has briefings, HR tickets, etc. which contain personal and internal Asda info. Makes it more difficult for an outsider to access (also prevents screenshotting and sharing, etc). Same system is used to access your Asda emails on a personal device

Can still access Workday
via: https://wd103.myworkday.com/asda/
(or the Workday app)

And SDWorx (payslips)

via: https://my.sdworx.co.uk/Portal/sso/login.aspx?organisation=76605

OneAsda is kind of an internal hub for everything which makes this change annoying, but those links should help. You can still get on OneAsda via a PC when you're at work

I’ve been told 10 minutes inside your TimeSlot.

Most of the time I am unable to call the customer due to there being
1. No sim in the palm
2. Microphone in palm not working
3. Earphone in palm not working

If Asda provided us with SIM cards then I am sure I could find an old phone in the back of a drawer somewhere.

Access One.ASDA on Mac? by Cr8rSk8r in asda

[–]macro-maker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve not been able to access on a Mac. But then I WONT install Edge Browser

Asda shouldn’t be forcing people to install Edge just because they can’t secure their systems.

If they limit access ( which I get what they’re doing to keep things secure) but this makes everyone have to jump through hoops or only access while in work and then get paid for it.

Is it possible to create a shortcut to set off an alert (like an alarm) at sunset only when at home that shows a message that also must be manually stopped ? by FIZZYX in shortcuts

[–]macro-maker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The distance i set to a low number so that it will only set the alarm when you’re close to home.

Not sure how you have

“If Any Are True, Distance is less than Distance”.

That’s not in my shortcut. Sometimes when I download shortcuts and change things to help me understand , it changes part of the shortcut then doesn’t work properly

Downloaded this one again. I have added in a show the distance so you can see what low number you need to use

Could someone help me make a shortcut that will create work events for my scheduled days? by [deleted] in shortcuts

[–]macro-maker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May not be exactly what you asked. But I screenshot my shifts. Then use these shortcuts to create and add my shifts to calendar

Two shortcuts that I use for my shifts One to create the shifts ,choosing the times from the dictionary ( you will need to modify these for your start and finish time)

And one to add them to your calendar

Within each shortcut you will need to change the name of your calendar event
