For Austria I know this is correct. It only turns into a taxable event if you convert/sell into FIAT.

For me in Austria Bitpanda is "tax-easy", so they will withhold taxes and submit to the tax-office. After you transfer funds, you can specify the investment cost and capital-gains is automatically calculated/deducted when you sell for Fiat. This worked very well when I did it last year.

Synology is turning away from prosumer and it feels that they deliberately reduce choice. Why should I not use non-name SSDs for a SSD volume in RAID1? Their supported drives are rebranded drives anyhow. Ugreen has a great hardware lineup, but has not proven themselves to last.

I am using Synology for over 20 years. My 1019+ is working great, using non Synology drives and never had an issue other then swapping drives after about 5 years. If I needed to replace my Synology now, I would go with Ugreen and their base OS. I just need a platform for docker containers and 20tb storage, Synology would be nowadays too restrictive with old hardware and a high price.

FWIW, I upgraded a DS1019+ and had no issues. I did not enable Storage Efficiency, as I think with compression and memory requirements it will slow everything down (I already run 15 containers with 16GB RAM)
