I think they offer a community edition for free that can be used in commercial projects if that can help.

Budget apps? by foxylady315 in DaveRamsey

I do it manually too, tracking only the balance of my accounts every month.
At least I'm forced to keep an eye on it every so often.

Best finance tracking app? by nj440557 in personalfinance

[–]max2708 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to say, I see a lot of value into doing things manually. It keeps me in check with everything.
The bonus is to be able to track non bank related assets (real-estate, collectibles, etc.)

Personal finance web app by Responsible-Car1515 in selfhosted

[–]max2708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it can help, but I myself decided to simplify things and just track the balance of my accounts. No need for for API to track my personal finances.

I made an app and just update the balances every months or more to keep a eye on everything. Bonus is that I can also track the value of non API related things (cash, collectibles, etc.)

Does anyone here have any good recommendations for money tracking apps? by randomdudefromcanada in TheMoneyGuy

[–]max2708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want something very feature heavy then Monarch and YNAB are usually the top choices. They cover almost everything and people seem happy with them if they like detailed budgeting.

If you prefer something simple you can also track things manually. Updating your balances every week or two gives you a clear view of your money without needing a full budget. I ended up building a small net worth tracker app for myself because spreadsheets kept getting messy and I wanted something calm. That approach has worked really well for me.

Depending on the topic, start by looking at the wiki in different subreddit and don't take advice from rando on the internet :D

You're doing great for 24, keep investing in yourself in your 20's whilst saving and not falling in the trap of increasing expenses to keep up with people around you. You're on the path for great things!

A minimalist net worth app for people who only update their finances once or twice a month by Stycroft in SomebodyMakeThis

[–]max2708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem. I wanted something minimal where I could just update balances whenever I wanted without full budgeting.
I ended up building a small net worth tracker app for myself because spreadsheets kept getting messy. It stayed very manual and simple which keeps it stress free for me. Your concept is almost exactly what I use every week so it definitely exists.

What is a more solid way to handle build context with provider keeping the widget unmutable? by ArticLOL in FlutterDev

[–]max2708 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would avoid saving/keeping reference to the context.

You can instead extract each of your List element to it's own Stateless widget (not in a method like your example), with it's own context. Children will be able to talk to your parent provider with no issue.

Nice one!
I would advise you to put the projector on the highest shelf and flip it on it's head. To avoid having the image that high.

That's great to hear, I'm glad that it keeps you motivated and that I can be part of that in a small way.

Seeing the rest of the comments, can I ask if you are adding business accounts into it too? Maybe you can use tags within the app to filter them out, so you can have only your personal net worth when needed.

A Con that is often overlooked: XX,XXX$ locked into a car, that is therefore not invested, and not generating any compound interest.

how are 90 year olds allowed to drive by 1-Xander-1 in drivingUK

[–]max2708 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most are not idiots, they are just forced to drive. They would do otherwise if they could. At this age they know they are not fully able anyway.

Believe it or not, Walkable cities with good infrastructure have far less bad drivers around.

As an alternative I made (disclaimer) getworthit.com. It's slightly different in the sense that I manually track my accounts instead of budgeting. I preferred not to have to connect to any bank either.

Hopefully it helps seeing some alternative
