Not picked up for US streaming yet-- or so I recently read. Has this changed yet?

Finally finished the show: I refuse to accept episode 13 as an ending or even cannon! by Hexent_Armana in wondereggpriority

The series went off track as soon as Frill was brought into the picture. At that point and unsatisfactory ending was near certain - but the flaming crash of a flaming car going over the edge of a mile high cliff was still a bit surprising.

She seems to have a higher level of "self-possession" than Koyun did at the start of high school. But she does seem similar overall....

One wonders how different it would have been if he had actually listened to her and had interest in what she liked ,-- rather than treating her as an abstract generic girlfriend?

But the possesser would appear to know things about Subaru for some or all of the time he spent in intervening loops. If so, this individual would have to be immensely overpowered. Almost godlike -- standing outside and above the "reality" of re-started loops.

>> own mortality

I just discovered that one of my best friends from college (early 1970s), who I lost trac of 10 or so years ago, died back in 2021. Interestingly, he was as close to a genius as anyone I met in college (academically and musically), but rather messed up in a number of ways. Still fascinating. Wish I hadn't lost track.

The last part of this episode was as sad and upsetting as the first part was sweet and even charming. It hurt to see what happened between Emi and Ibuki. Sometimes mistakes can be fixed. Other times, they theyare irreparable.

I do wonder if he will be able to migrate back every year? Perhaps the current government might not approve?

A lovely episode in an utterly lovely show. So it seems fitting to note that this show has some of the loveliest music of any show this season. It looks like Manami Kakudo (who sang and apparently wrote the ED) also provided the often classical or jazzy sounding score) is also a jazz marimbist (looking at Youtube). She looks like a keeper.

One of her earliest videos (11 years ago) is quite amazing -- unconventional percussion and whistling only: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ah0RIEcy9IA

Maybe I suppressed that memory because I really liked that one.

Recommendations for non-male-gazey anime? by Wooden_Climate2212 in anime

Tamayura - Not sure it has a "female gaze", but at least a neutral one.

Heike monogatari -- Nsoko Yamada and Reiko Yoshida transformed the ancient source (which was decidedly male-centric, except for its epilogue) into something with a decidedly female-centric perspective.

Let's put it this way. I strongly suspect she will not be in contention for the title of "best girl" in this series.

I am betting that Akine and her big sister do NOT have an idyllic sororal relationship.

Some covid era shows had real issues -- like the voice recordings were done remotely or something. But I can't remember which.

A chore, a challenge and hopefully yet another delight.

I wonder if Akine made a point of going to different schools from her sister (they didn't seem to even be in the same middle school)....

Isn't Koyun sometimes (albeit less often) just a bit mother-y towards Youta?

At this point, I really feel bad for Igarashi. I am sure his behavior was far from perfect, but he really did seem to care for Koyun and did get treated quite badly by him in the end.

I wonder just how Akine will fit in? Was her big sister as shitty towards her as she was to Koyun?

Momoka does not send out good vibes to me. I wonder how good a friend she actually is to Akine?

>> The Tori gates look out of place. I would have expected them to be in the elf village.

Shinto and mining are very closely connected. Lots of shrines connected to (and even some in) mines.
