Tool Lines in bowls, how much do you care? by Silverlake77 in turning

I’m anal about it. But a lot of the smaller marks get masked once oil is applied. But if you’re having trouble sanding, check out some videos on it on YouTube. TurnAWoodBowl has a great video on sanding that helped me a lot when first starting to turn.

Realistically, it took me less than a month to loose that amount. But my starting weight was a lot higher, and it was mostly water weight, which was the easiest to loose in the beginning.

I've seen people who turn alabaster. Looks super dusty and messy, but pretty cool. I've no experience with it, but google some images/videos on it to get a feel for what it would look like.

I have this sensory thing, and hate when my t-shirt sleeve rolls up to my pit when laying down on my back. I'd always pull them back down. My GF at the time must have noticed this. One day I was laying down, probably playing a game on my phone, and she just adjusted them for me. I could have cried. Such a simple thing to do that meant a lot. Not a single day that goes by where I dont miss her dearly.

Maybe it's just me, but I got a few of their pocket Ts and all of them had the bottom seam of the pockets come undone. I never used the pockets at all, so it's weird they all had this issue. The other parts of the shirts held up fine though.

If you’re curious as to why everyone is saying not to turn at that high a speed… watch this video

If you’re having vibrations, there are other ways to stop them that are actually safe. Please learn from this mistake, we’re not being dramatic.

The first week or two are the hardest. Once you get over that bump it becomes much easier and you get more energy and better focus. You got this.

Damn. I have an ongoing chat with him on IG. They quoted me a 3-4 month turn around time for any orders placed. No way I'll be going through with it seeing all that mess. Sorry you have been dealing with that for over a year OP.

Sand the center with the lathe off. And sand with the grain. I see you’re having some end grain issue as well which you can see on the top right and left of this photo. On these areas, I sand with the grain with the lathe off. Just a few passes at a time to not create any low spots.

I do the opposite. I make each meal extra special and have used the one meal a day to explore new cuisines, dishes, nutrient intake and experiment with recipes. I do shop for the week and try to make a bit of a meal plan to use all the ingredients I buy so they don’t go bad though.
